Shamcey Supsup Donates Fresh Crops From Her Own Backyard To Prepare Meals For Frontliners & Essential Workers

Aside from being a Beauty queen and Architecture Board Exam Topnotcher, Miss Universe 2011 3rd-runner up Shamcey Supsup proudly showed to her fans and followers that she also has a passion for farming.

The 34-year-old former beauty queen recently took to Instagram to share the fresh produce from her backyard farm, which was also used to provide thousands of packed meals for the frontliners and essential workers through her food donation drive.

She wrote in an Instagram post last May 2:

“You reap, what you sow” LITERALLY. Prior to moving to Manila, I lived in a farm. We would never run out of food to eat. Everything is available in our backyard, from vegetables, to fruits and even meat. I remembered, we would only go to the supermarkets, once a month!

“Our backyard here may not be as big as the ones at home, but I’m still grateful we get to grow food. Our harvest from our little backyard farm became part of the 1000+ meals sent to our frontliners and essential workers thru @byahengbusog,” Shamcey added.

“Byaheng Busog” is part of Shamcey’’s food business with her husband, Lloyd Lee. The couple is also the owner of Pedro ‘N Choi and Tambayan Ni Pedro’ food business.

In the last part of her post, Shamcey mentioned that she is dedicating it to both her parents, her father who works as a farmer and mother who always enjoyed her simple life on the farm.

“This post is dedicated to my dad, a farmer and to my mom, who always loved the farm life,” she shared.

Prior to this post, the beautiful Miss Universe Philippines National Director also shared photos on Instagram of some of the crops she harvested from her little farm. According to her, all of these vegetables will be delivered and used for the food donation drive.
