Kapamilya Star Angel Locsin Cried Non-Stop After The Order Of ABS-CBN Shutdown

The Philippine government ordered the shutdown of the country’s largest broadcast network, ABS-CBN, which immediately took place after their license expired last Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
Unfortunately, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) failed to provide the media giant company a provisional permit to operate, instead they issued a cease and desist order.
This news saddened a lot of people, especially the avid and loyal viewers of the said network. On the other side, many are also worried about the big effect on the lives of around 11,000 people who work for them.
As we all know, these people include all the employees starting from the actors, utility, art department, technical department, production, directors, caterers, producers, lightmen, crew, and all the workers behind the scenes that will be greatly affected by this shutdown.
Upon learning the news, the 35-year-old Kapamilya star Angel Locsin, who has been airing her support for the franchise renewal, was left devastated.
Angel’s fiance, film producer Neil Arce, recently took to Instagram the heartbreaking state of the actress, who according to him has been crying non-stop.
While Angel will not be directly affected by this shutdown due to her non-renewal of contract, her main concern is the over 11,000 ABS-CBN employees who lost their jobs.
Neil wrote: “Breaks my heart seeing her like this. Angel didnt renew her contract So technically she did Not lose her job. She’s been crying non stop since she saw The News online because she knows 11,000 people lost their jobs.
We’ve been under ecq for 2 months now trying to save lives. Wala pang 10000 ang may covid dito pero ngayon 11,000 na tao ang mawawalan ng trabaho at milyong milyon na Pilipino ang hindi makakatanggap ng quick Information and konting kaligayahan sa mga panahon na ito. NTC you are evil. How dare you take away 11,000 jobs. We Will remember this.”
