Celebs Who Can Harvest Fruits & Vegetables In Their Own Garden

With the on-going enhanced community quarantine in the major parts of the country, many people are having a hard time in purchasing fresh products such as fruits and vegetables.
This is due to the limited movement of the people which also affected the supply, transport, and prices of some products in the markets and grocery stores. However, this is not a problem for those who have their own garden or grow some fruits and veggies in their backyard.
Take it from these celebrities who are now harvesting fresh produce straight from their own garden.
Mylene Dizon
“Kahit anong mangyari, meron kang madudukot na pagkain,”
the actress proudly shared.
The 43-year-old celebrity mom began posting on her Instagram account photos of her organic vegetables like radish, sugar beets, carrots and fennel since April last year.
Based on her previous interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), she decided to turn into a mini garden her backyard in Silang, Cavite, for the means of “food security.”
Dizon explained:
“Sana, kung maaari, kung meron tayong maski maliit na lupa lang na puwede nating pagtaniman ng gulay, dapat nagtatanim tayo ng ating sariling gulay…”
“Knowing that I’m able to produce something out of dirt, that I can make food for the family or the challenge of it because it’s not easy, now I understand, I have this high respect for farmers, especially organic farmers, because organic farming is very difficult.”
Team Kramer (Doug and Cheska Garcia-Kramer)
This celebrity couple also has a vegetable garden in their house. But unlike the previous celebrity that we featured, they decided to grow vegetables in pots or containers.
In one of the recent IG posts of this celebrity mom-of-three, she showed their “harvest list,” which includes vegetables that can grow in a short span of time.
Cheska captioned her post:
“Kendra along with yaya Josie was able to harvest quite a number of vegetables in our little garden.
“We started planting more again these past few days and they are growing pretty quickly and looking very healthy.
“Our Harvest list: . Onion Leaks . Baby carrots . Turmeric . Ginger . Tomatoes . String beans . Bell Pepper . Green sili . Pod of the moringa . Monggo (not in photo) . Eggplants . Sigarilyas . Sponge gourd.”
“It doesn’t take much to grow these vegetables. If space is your concern there are vegetables that also grow well in pots or in containers.
“You can search online and get pointers on how to start growing your own organic vegetables and how to care for them. That is how I started…”
