While on community quarantine due to the outbreak of COVID-19 or otherwise known as the novel coronavirus, 29-year-old celebrity mom Andi Eigenmann takes advantage of her time growing their own produce in their own backyard.
To keep her 2.2 million Instagram followers updated, the former Kapamilya actress shared a series of photos of the fruits and vegetables garden that she and her current partner, Philmar Alipayo, started to grow.
“@chepoxz (Philmar) and I have always wanted to grow our own food. And due to lockdown: he built a garden two weeks ago, that we filled with soil from the pigsty, chunks and chunks of buffalo dung, and all of this food waste,” Andi wrote in one of the photos she shared on her IG Stories
Because of the ongoing health crisis that the whole world is facing, many people would probably agree that those people who know how to grow their own food at home or those who have mini-garden is an advantage.
In that way, you will not have a hard time going to the supermarkets or malls just to buy fresh fruits and veggies as you’re only a few steps away from your very own garden.
Since the couple lives in Siargao, where most land is capable of being plowed and used to grow crops, plus, the green thumb of the celebrity mom-of-two. They were able to plant some crops like watermelon, tomatoes, bitter gourd, avocados, squash, and papaya in their mini-garden.
As seen in her post, she also includes photos of her planted crops on their early stage of growth.
This will serve as an extra activity for many people to keep themselves busy, especially now that they are stuck at home and have nothing else to do. Good thing for Andi is that she also has another source of entertainment aside from gardening, taking care of her eight-month-old baby girl Keliana Alohi “Lilo” Eigenmann Alipayo.
