Look: Richard Gutierrez And Sarah Lahbati Tie The Knot In Surprise Civil Wedding

Celebrity couple Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati is one of those who were affected by the sudden spike in COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as the two have to postpone their much-anticipated grand wedding, which is supposed to be held in Manila, March 14.

The two made the announcement on Instagram 2 days prior to the official announcement of President Rodrigo Duterte that Metro Manila will be put on community quarantine in a span of 30 days, starting March 15.

Though it may be really hard on their part as the preparation itself took them a year, Sarah and Richard still prioritize the safety and health of their guests and all the people who were involved in their wedding.

Despite that, the couple surprised the public when they announced yesterday, March 14, that they decided to push through with the initial date of their union but had forgone the big celebration.

On Instagram, Richard and Sarah posted the same series photos of their civil wedding on their respective Instagram accounts.

“I have you and it’s enough. It’s everything,” they wrote in their identical post.

“The big gathering to celebrate with all our loved ones, friends and colleagues will have to wait because we care more about everyone’s safety and health,” the couple added.

It shows that they only invited a small number of guests, including their closest friends and families. Present in the event were the Gutierrez family, father Richard, mother Annabelle Rama, sister Ruffa and the groom’s twin brother Raymond.

Looking at the photos taken during this intimate ceremony, people also notice that they followed the proper social distancing guidelines.

“I have you and it’s enough. It’s everything,” both of them said in their identical announcement.

Sarah and Richard have been engaged since 2017. They already have two sons named Zion and Kai.
