Megastar Sharon Cuneta Shares Throwback Photo Of Her 1987 “Revenge Body”

54-year-old Megastar Sharon Cuneta delighted her 1.2 million followers on Instagram when she shared a screenshot of what she calls her “revenge body.”

In an Instagram post that she shared last March 16, the veteran singer-actress was feeling nostalgic upon seeing a video uploaded on YouTube by a certain showbiz fan in her channel named “Doings Yan Sha Cel,” based on the link she attached in her post.

The celebrity mom reminisced about her earlier days in showbiz, particularly when she was still hosting musical variety show “The Sharon Cuneta Show” (TSCS) on IBC-13.

Sharon revealed the story behind these photos, which were taken in 1987, which according to the Megastar was her “revenge body” after her failed marriage with ex-husband, actor Gabby Concepcion.

Part of her caption read:

“Oh my gosh! Bigla ko na naman nakita lang sa YouTube ito. Ang tagal ko na hinahanap yung full episode nito but TSCS was still with IBC-13 then before ABS-CBN pirated us from them! This was just after my marriage fell apart. Revenge body. Hahaha!”

It can be seen in the video and the collage photo that she’s wearing a black tanga or a high cut underwear which became a popular fashion style in the 80’s.

The Megastar added that during that time, she was already weighing around 115 to 118 lbs, gaining a little weight as compared when she hit her lowest of 109 when she got separated with Gabby.

Sharon and Gabby first tied the knot in a secret civil wedding on July 23, 1984. After this, they also had a church wedding at the Manila Cathedral on September 23, 1984. But in August 1987, the two ended their marriage due to irreconcilable differences.

The former celebrity couple had a daughter named Maria Kristina Cassandra Concepcion or simpy KC, who was born in April 1985.
