Engaged couple KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde are undeniably one of the favorite inspirations of an Instagram-able couple.
Just recently, they captured lots of attention online with their engagement photoshoot taken at the beautiful spots in Tokyo, Japan, a special place for the couple that they both love.
Last Friday, February 28, the couple shared photos of their creative engagement shoot on their respective Instagram accounts.
It will be recalled that it was on December 30 last year when the former “X Factor Philippines” winner got engaged to her fellow musician and long-time boyfriend TJ Monterde. The two have been together for more than 4 years.
KZ or Kristine Zhenie Lobrigas Tandingan first rose to prominence after winning the first season of The X Factor Philippines, way back in 2012. She also became known internationally when she joined Singer 2018, which was a popular singing competition aired on HBS. TJ or Titus John Monterde, on the other hand, is a singer-songwriter from Cagayan de Oro. He was known for his song “Ikaw At Ako,” where KZ was also featured.
It was shared in a previous episode of the morning talk show“Magandang Buhay” how their love story started. During the interview, TJ revealed that he and KZ belong to the same group of friends and it was the latter’s co-X Factor hopeful Kedebon Colim, who served as their bridge.
It happened that both TJ and veteran singer Martin Nievera were under the same record label, that’s why he got the chance to know Kedebon because Martin was the former mentor of Kedebon on X Factor Philippines. Through him, TJ and KZ met and eventually became good friends.
Two years later, he took their relationship to the next level by courting the singer-rapper. They dated for a year prior to becoming an official couple in January 2015.
