Get To Know More About The Patriarch Of “It’s Showtime” Direk Bobet Vidanes

When it comes to noontime variety shows, there’s no doubt that ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime is one of the most successful programs in the country today. This show started way back in 2009 and even during its debut it already earned high audience shares.

That’s is also why the show’s avid viewers or “madlang people” don’t want to miss watching it on its current air time every Monday to Friday from 12:15 PM to 3:35 PM, and Saturday from 11:30 AM to 3:15 PM.

Thanks to the man behind this show, the brilliant director and patriarch of “It’s Showtime” Direk Bobet Vidanes, for literally filling our noontime with lots of fun and laughter.

Unlike the usual directors who are rarely seen on camera, Direk Bobet many times was spotted joining the hosts of his show and even participating in the “Bidaman” segment of the decade-long program, where the aforementioned Director served as one of the jurors.

Aside from this show, Direk Bobet was also the creator and director of ABS-CBN’s long-running game show, “Pilipinas, Game KNB?” and “Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal,” the Philippine adaptation of the Deal or No Deal franchise. He also directed the Philippine version of the “Got Talent” as “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010 and the 2019 “Idol Philippines.”

In a recent report by ABS-CBN Entertainment, they did a little “stalking” on Direk Bobet’s social media account and found out a few things about the prominent director.

Checking his IG account, they learned that he loves motorbikes and uses his big bike to travel to different places around Luzon, such as Pangasinan, Quezon, Sorsogon, Benguet, and Nueva Ecija.

Another thing that they revealed is that this 54-year-old director is a fun-loving person, which is far from his serious and a little intimidating appearance.

When it comes to his family life, Direk Bobet is a supportive and loving father to his three adorable children Chad, Ara, and Kobe. As seen in his post, he always makes sure to spend quality time with them despite his busy schedule at work.
