James Reid And Nancy McDonie At Soulmate Project’s Look Test

October last year, it was announced that James Reid and Nancy McDonie of K-pop group Momoland will be starring together on a series titled ‘Soulmate Project’ which leave fans in anticipation.

Produced by ABS-CBN, Dreamscape Entertainment, iWant and Project 8, in-demand film maker Antoinette Jadaone will be the writer and director of this upcoming project. Jadaone said that ‘Soulmate Project’ is unlike any primetime series in the Philippines that she has directed but it will be similar to the format of series in US and South Korea.

It was previously revealed that this project will be filmed in both the Philippines and South Korea which will the first of its kind for Nancy. Unlike traditional series, ‘Soulmate Project’ is set to run for only 13 episodes.

There were rumors a few months ago that the project will not proceed but Nancy confirmed on January that it will push through this February. Nancy is pleased that fans are excited for her acting debut and she is having. On her previous interview, she mentioned that she started doing some acting workshops.

On the Look Test, Nancy was seen wearing a pink shiny pajama while James wore white sando under a black jacket, blue shorts and white socks. The picture was posted by Eric John Salut, the AdProm Head of Dreamscape, with the caption “The Soulmate Project is rolling soon!!”

In another post of Salut, James is wearing an orange polo-shirt with a black apron on top while staring at Nancy on her side. Nancy is wearing a white top with black straps.

Dan Villegas, producer at Project 8, also posted some pictures from the Look Test. In one picture, James is wearing a black suit while Nancy is wearing a pink-colored long gown.

It was revealed that James almost dropped the project and Dreamscape was disappointed at him and at Nadine Lustre, James’ ex-girlfriend. They pointed out that Nadine is one of the reason why James though of quitting. Dreamscape had a discussion with the two. But they did not give any details about what they discussed. Later on January 2020, James and Nadine broke up saying they should focus on their career first.
