Following the breakup confirmation of James Reid and Nadine Lustre, rumors and speculations quickly surfaced all over the internet and dragged the name of Issa Pressman as the alleged third party in their breakup.

The former couple released a joint statement which was then aired on the live episode of the late-night talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda” last Monday, January 20.

“It’s true that we have split up, but not for all the reasons that are being spread on the tabloids and social media, but because after quiet and mature conversations, we decided to focus on ourselves not only for our careers but more for our personal growth as we are still young and we want to achieve as much as we can.”

Part of the statement read by the King of Talk.

Issa, who is continuously being heavily bashed online is the younger sister of the Kapamilya actress Yassi Pressman.

As much as the “Ang Probinsyano” actress wanted to ignore all the online statements she was reading linking her sister to the breakup of James and Nadine, it already reached a point where she could not stand to see netizens throw foul words at her sister.

Earlier today, January 22, Yassi has defended her sister against the accusations of the former couple’s avid fans by sharing a lengthy post on her Instagram account.

“Hindi po papatol ang kapatid ko sa mga sinasabi ninyo ? Pero bilang Ate, hindi ko naman po yata kayang panuorin na patuloy po siyang binabato ng mga masasakit na salita dahil nananahimik siya.”

She wrote.

She also included a recent photo with Nadine Lustre where the two can be seen dining together. “This was me and nadz last night, watching how some of us become cruel over untrue statements,” she added.

“Initially we all laughed about how crazy the things that woke us up yesterday were, and then…. they started getting out of hand, at di na yun tama.. Ayaw na po sana namin patulan, but we decided to post something because cyber-bullying is not okay, it is never okay.”

The 24-year-old Kapamilya star continued.

“Be careful with the words you say, and things you THINK are true on social media. They’re not always the truth. Do not be so quick to point fingers, when you do not have the proper information,” she added, saying that everyone should ‘think before you click.’”

The actress ended her post saying that all of them are in good terms, and wishes netizens the same.

“We’re all okay. Sana po kayo din. Let’s respect everyone.”
