Taal Evacuees Wearing Formal Attire, Wedding Gown, Uniforms, Duster-Wearing Men Brought Good Vibes

When Taal Volcano erupted on Sunday, January 12, many residents flee from their homes to avoid the danger that this sudden incident may cause to their lives.

Because of this, many locals left their homes with only a few basic needs they could carry.

The authorities also implemented lockdowns in several areas which hindered the affected families from coming back to their homes to get all the stuff that they needed.

Thankfully, donations pour in from kind-hearted people all over the country as well as the government and other private sectors who mostly organized donation drives and distribution of relief goods to the evacuation center.

Local celebrities also had their fair share in helping the residents as they used their influence to help, with some who even personally joined the actual donation drives.

Despite the difficult situation that these evacuees were experiencing right now, many netizens were impressed as there are still many of them who handled the situation with a big smile on their faces, and also bringing good vibes to their fellow evacuees.

Just recently, the Facebook page of “Byaheng Lemery” which is a page dedicated to residents and visitors of Lemery, Batangas, shared a series of posts where it can be seen that the evacuees modeled out the clothing donations that they received from the good people out there.

These posts were captioned as “Pormahan sa Evacuation Center,” it shows photos of the evacuees who had big smiles on their faces as they wore school uniforms, security guard uniforms, ‘bodyguard’ uniforms, a guy in a pink bathrobe, and even a Girl Scout uniform worn by an elderly woman.

When these teens got a bunch of long sleeves and tuxedos and other formal attire, some netizens to joke that there’s a JS Prom at the evacuation center.

There were also some who modeled clothes that appear to have been in fashion in the ‘80s or ‘90s.

This guy who wore a wedding gown was also an attention grabber in the scene, including those other guys who happily sported a duster dress and other female clothing.

Don’t get them wrong as there were indeed a lot of clothes that can fit them and suited for their day-to-day activities, but maybe for entertainment purposes, some of them still showed great appreciation on those clothing that they don’t usually wear every day or at home, and also because these items were given in a random basis some might received clothes that doesn’t fit their gender and size.

This only showed how these amazing Batangueños faced their situation in a positive way, instead of complaining, they just take it in a light way and showed how grateful they are for all the help they were receiving from everyone.
