Before he was introduced as an adult housemate in Big Brother’s house on August 12, 2018, Yamyam has endured many hardships in life. At a young age, he was forced to stop pursuing education in order to help in supporting his family’s financial needs. He worked several jobs in Cebu, such as working as a water delivery boy and a construction worker.

But because of his admirable personality, inspiring story, and his unforgettable friendship with Fumiya Sankai inside the house, this Boholano sensation captured the hearts of many viewers which helped him a lot to eventually become the show’s winner
Yamyam also shared about his plan to continue his studies, hopefully next school year:
“Sana mag-aaral ako this year, pero maraming pumapasok na raket e, yung blessings. So kung babalansehin ko, parang mahirap siya. So siguro next school year, babanat,”
he explained.
While many feel the pressure of being the family’s sole breadwinner, Yamyam has a different view.
“Kasi kusa ko talaga itong ginagawa kasi ganito ko sila kamahal. Atsaka ayokong makita sila nang gaya ng dati na mahihirapan o makita ko silang umiiyak dahil sa gutom,”
Yamyam added.
Yamyam is currently playing a supporting role in the Filipino sitcom “Home Sweetie Home: Extra Sweet.”
