Ogie Diaz Recounted Liza Soberano Humble Beginnings: “Matiyaga siya, hindi nainip at marunong maghintay”

Liza Soberano’s talent manager Ogie Diaz recently shared how he admired the famous Kapamilya actress for remaining humble throughout the years.

The beautiful actress recently celebrated her 22nd birthday last Saturday, January, and for her special day, Liza’s handler, comedian Ogie Diaz took to Instagram to share his very memorable photo with the actress way back in 2012, the beginning of Liza’s career in the entertainment industry.

“Ito ang pinakagusto kong picture sa dami ng pics ko with @lizasoberano. Very memorable kasi ito, dahil first pic namin ito nung 2012. Napakasimpleng bata. Gusto niyang mag-modelo noon, pero mas kinumbinsi namin siyang mag-artista,” Ogie began his post.

It was in 2012 when Liza had her break in the industry after she was scouted by her now manager Ogie Diaz. But prior to this, she made her acting debut in the anthology series Wansapanataym.

The actress had her first starring role in television in 2014 with “Forevermore” alongside Enrique Gil. She’s now considered one of the most in-demand actresses of her generation.

Ogie went on to share about the young actress’ determination and perseverance when she was only starting in the industry,

“Ilambeses kong pinabalik-balik si Liza to see me kasi gusto ko magpaliit pa siya nang konti at sunud naman talaga nang sunod si Liza sa kada iutos ko para din sa enhancement niya bilang baguhang artista. Nakakatuwa siyang bata kasi matiyaga siya, hindi nainip at marunong maghintay.”

Another great quality that he really admired with Liza is that despite the fame and success that she has achieved in her career, the 22-year-old actress remained the same humble, kind and very loving girl that he met 8 years ago.

“Si @duduunay ang naka-discover at si Tita @jonilyncastillo naman na tita niya ang number one believer ni Liza at malakas ang kutob na may mararating ang pamangkin niya, kaya tinutukan din niya. Yung ugaling mabait, andun pa din. Yung priority ang family, andun pa din. Yung mahal na mahal ang lola niya, andun pa din. Yung hindi nagpi-primadona, humility ang lumulutang. Kaya ako na mismo mag-aangat sa kanya. Hindi dahil alaga ko siya, kundi ganun naman siya talaga.”

He then gave his sweet birthday greetings for Liza, saying

“At kaarawan niya today, kaya happy, happy bday, Hopie! Salamat. Maraming-maraming salamat sa kabaitan mo.”

Ogie also took this chance to thank the beautiful Kapamilya actress for being such a blessing to their family, especially for his daughter, Meerah Khel.

“At utang ko sa yo kumbakit buhay na buhay ang premature baby kong si Meerah Khel. Alam mo na kumbakit. Love you, anak. You deserve only the best this 2020! Continue to be a blessing to your family and other people! Mahal na mahal ka ng pamilya ko.”
