As of this moment, Taal volcano still remains at a high alert level since it started erupting on Sunday, January 12, an incident that affected many citizens of the nearby areas.
Following the unexpected eruption of Taal, the government decided to declare Batangas under state of calamity which also led to an increase in the number of people in the evacuation center.
While there are many celebrities who used their social media influence to call for donations, promote the callouts of organizations, and even organize benefit bazaars and other shows, there were also those who chose to be part of the actual packing and distribution of the relief goods to be given to the victims of Taal Volcano eruption.
Just like the Kapamilya singer and actress Angeline Quinto, who recently took time off from her showbiz work to personally see the situation of her fellow Filipinos and extend help to the evacuees who are currently staying at these two evacuation centers in Nasugbu, Batangas, and Alfonso, Cavite.
Last Tuesday, January 14, the 30-year-old singer-actress shared some photos on her verified Facebook page, showing how she was welcomed by the evacuees. It can be seen in some of these photos that Angeline handed the people a pack of relief goods with a wide smile on her face.
In the caption, the kind-hearted celebrity wrote:
“Patuloy po nating bigyang tulong ang mga residente na naapektuhan ng kalamidad dulot ng pagputok ng Bulkang Taal. Bangon tayo. ‘Wag po tayong tumigil.”
Many fans and netizens lauded the 30-year-old singer-actress for personally visiting the evacuees and also for her generosity and selfless act to the needy people.
