Kapamilya child star, Jana Agoncillo continues to shine as one of ABS-CBN’s most promising young stars with her latest portrayal of a star who needs to grant good wishes so that she would become a full-fledged wishing star in the 2019 drama series, “Starla.”
Jana first captured the hearts of the Filipino viewers as the adorable little girl named Maningning “Ningning” Angeles in the 2015 Philippine comedy-drama television series, Ningning. Prior to this, she had her first acting role in the ABS-CBN primetime series “Dream Dad” starring Kapamilya stars Zanjoe Marudo and Beauty Gonzales.
Despite her young age, Jana managed to establish her name in the showbiz industry. Many were also amazed by her talent including the director of “Ningning” and “Dream Dad,” Jeffrey Jeturian, who once said that her skill sets are very unique, that’s why child actresses like Jana come to the Philippine entertainment industry so rarely.
Meanwhile, business unit head Ginny Ocampo has the same thought and said that even at a young age, Jana already has the talent and wit of a great artist.
Proving their statements right, Jana bagged some awards and recognitions such as The 38th Catholic Mass Media Awards, where Jana Agoncillo’s drama series ‘Ningning’ was nominated as “Best Drama Series.” Aside from that, she also won the “Best New Female TV Personality” during the 29th Star Awards for Television, defeating other older nominees like Loisa Andalio, Maine Mendoza, Stephanie Yamut, MJ Lastimosa, and Maris Racal.
From the cute little girl that we saw several years ago, Jana continues to blossom into a beautiful young woman. But if there’s one thing that remained the same throughout the years is that she still has that undeniable charm: the super angelic face, her soft voice, and attractive eyes that can make everyone fall in love with her with just one glance.
