Eugenio Romerica Abunda Jr., or more popularly known as “The King of Talk” Tito Boy Abunda is undeniably one of the most influential talk show hosts and publicists in the Philippines.
But aside from gaining this title, many also admire him for his more than three-decades-long relationship with his partner Elmer “Bong” Quintana.
Just like any couple, the two might also have experienced many problems or challenges in their relationship, but what made their relationship a genuine celebration of love is that they never gave up with one another and continuously worked together to make their bond stronger than ever.
It was also in his own show where Tito Boy became the subject of his “imaginary mirror.” This happened in the special episode of TWBA in October 2018, where the table has turned as instead of him interviewing his special guest, Vice Ganda, he’s the one to be interviewed by the “Unkabogable” star.
During their interview, the King of Talk shared about his off-screen relationships, including his partner for 36 years already.
Tito Boy revealed that despite the many challenges and difficulties that they’ve encountered in their relationship, he has still been faithful to Bong. However, he also admitted that their long-term bond has not always been a pleasant and easy situation.
“Ang dami kong kasalanan kay Bong…Humingi ako ng tawad sa aking partner because I am imperfect..just as he is imperfect.”
He confessed to Vice.
“Ang alam ko lamang, my love…our love for each other, is bigger than any sin. Patuloy kaming nagpapatawaran.”
Tito Boy continued.
When asked about the issue of flirting with other guys, the “King of Talk” answered.
“Hindi kalian man ako nagsisinungaling kahit kanino…alam nilang lahat na una sa buhay ko si Bong.”
Followed by the statement,
“I made sure na hindi ako nalilito, that I was never lost. I always find my way back to the heart of Bong.”
