It can be recalled that it was on September 6 this year, when Manny Pacquiao proudly shared a photo of his UMak ID on his Instagram account with the caption,
“Never stop learning because life never stops teaching.”
Many admired the 40-year-old athlete-turned-lawmaker as he was able to pursue his studies despite his hectic schedule both as a politician and a boxer.
In an earlier interview, Manny revealed that one of the reasons why he decided to pursue a college degree is to have a better understanding of the country’s situation.
“Nag-aaral ako, yes. Kailangan lang kasi, the most important thing is alam mo sitwasyon ng bansa natin,” he said.

This happened after he was able to earn his high school diploma in 2007 through the Department of Education’s alternative learning system (ALS), which is a parallel learning system that provides a practical option to the existing formal instruction in our country.
