Forbes Revealed That Manny Pacquiao Is The Top 8 Wealthiest Athlete Of The Decade



Philippine Senator and Reigning World Boxing Association super welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is the eighth wealthiest athlete in the world over the last decade.

Based on a recent report published by Forbes.com, the 41-year-old Pinoy boxing champ’s estimated personal earnings in the last 10 years is at $435 million or over P22 billion.

They also added that the boxing legend and eight-division world champion‘s “25 pay-per-view matches generated 20 million buys and US$1.3 billion (over P65.9 billion) in revenue.”

Pacquiao’s most recent fight was when he defeated Keith Thurman last July 20, 2019.



Meanwhile, the highest-paid athlete of the decade, earning US$915 million is Manny’s fellow boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. This earning includes his $500 million combined for his 2015 and 2017 fights versus Pacquiao and UFC star Conor McGregor. It will be recalled that Mayweather won his bout against Manny Pacquiao in 2015 by scoring a unanimous decision.

Other athletes who made the made it top the top 10 are football stars Cristiano Ronaldo took the second spot and soccer player Lionel Messi in third place.



While Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and tennis legend Roger Federer who came in fourth and fifth spot, respectively. Next to them are professional golf players Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, followed by our very own Pinoy boxer turned politician, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.





Kevin Durant of Brooklyn Nets landed on the ninth place while the 6th-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton completed the top 10.
