After 8 Years Of Being A Couple, Joem Bascon Confirmed Breakup With Vlogger Girlfriend Crisha Uy

“Culion” actor Joem Bascon recently confirmed that he and longtime girlfriend, vlogger Crisha Uy had already broken up.

The former couple lived together under one roof for the past 5 years, but they’ve been in a relationship for more than eight years. Joem and Crisha impressed many people as they managed to maintain a low-key relationship, that’s why they were also saddened by the news when Joem admitted that they are “going through a rough patch” in their relationship, until recently that he finally confirmed their breakup.

The 33-year-old actor made the revelation during his interview with members of the press last Tuesday, December 17.

Joem, who attended an acoustic live session for TBA Studios’ “Write About Love” with his co-star Yeng Constantino told the entertainment reporters that he and Crisha already ended their relationship saying: “Hanggang doon na lang siya. Kapag pinilit pa, on my side siguro mas magiging magulo. So I guess hanggang doon ko lang talaga kaya. ”

He went on to share that he is also hoping that they could still be friends despite what happened in their relationship. Joem also admitted that this incident is still painful for both of them, that’s why he’s trying to distract himself by focusing his attention on his work and his friends.

“I’m hoping na maging friends kasi maayos naman ‘yung pag-uusap. Pero wala naman kasing hiwalayan na hindi masakit. So masakit pa rin for both of us. Siguro lang ngayon, nakakausap niyo ako ng maayos kasi I’m busy with work. Sobrang busy ko na marami akong kasamang tao. Talagang dina-drown ko ‘yung sarili ko with trabaho and friends para lang hindi ko maiisip masyado ‘yung nangyari,” the actor explained.

“At least ngayon ito ‘yung nangyari kasi kung pinatagal ko or natuloy ‘yung mga plano with everything siguro mas mahihirapan kami at lalo pang masakit,” he continued.

During the interview, he also revealed that it was him who initiated his breakup, but he also clarified that it’s also a mutual decision that both of them agreed, “It’s a mutual thing na nag-usap na kami pero kailangan ko aminin sa lahat din para ‘di na rin maging tanong, it came from me talaga. Hanggang doon na lang po. Mayroon lang po siguro problema ako with myself, personal na hinahanap ko sa sarili ko. I guess I really had to decide kaysa masaktan ko pa lalo ang tao.”

For those people who will try to speculate the reason behind their split, Joem wanted to make it clear that there’s no other person involved, he said: “Walang third party, all on me.”

On a lighter side, the actor also expressed his excitement for the upcoming Christmas celebration as he will be spending it with his family. Another reason to celebrate this month is his 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival film entry “Write About Love,” together with his leading lady, Yeng Constantino.

Joem said: “I’m looking forwad to this coming MMFF for ‘Write About Love’ na mapapanood niyo ‘yung pinaghirapan namin ng TBA Studios. Siyempre nagkagulatan kami na napili for MMFF ang ‘Write About Love.’ Natapos na namin ito parang start pa lang of the year, tapos pinasa na lang nila. We are just really excited and honored to be part of this MMFF.”

“It’s my first time working with Yeng and she’s very honest, humble, sensitive. As an actor, kasi first time namin mag-work napaka-giving niya. Sobrang sweet sa set,” he added.

‘Write About Love,’ is a romantic-comedy movie starring Miles Ocampo and Rocco Nacino, it is set to show in cinemas nationwide on Christmas Day, December 25.

This movie was produced by TBA Studios and directed by Crisanto Aquino, which serves as his directorial debut.
