Enrique also appeared in numerous films and television shows, including Mula Sa Puso and Budoy, Muling Buksan Ang Puso, Dolce Amore, Bagani, She’s the One, Just The Way You Are, My Ex and Whys, and Alone/Together.
While many of us would think that since he is already a very accomplished actor, Enrique was very likely residing in a posh condo unit in The Fort, Makati or Quezon City. However, we have learned that this young man prefers to live with his family in their bungalow home sitting in a 300-square -meter lot.
This house was bought in 1985 by his mother, Barbara Anne Gil, when she was still working for an airline company. Since the location of this property was near the airport, Enrique’s mom decided to settle here and raised her 3 children with late husband, Enrique Amadeo Gil.
House Entrance
In the main entrance of the house, Enrique’s mother decorated the plain white wall near the front door with eight sandstone tiles attached to a frame that was made from old railroad tracks.
Living Area
The area where the family welcomed their guests is furnished with pieces that are not really expensive. There is an ottoman, a glass-top coffee table, and an affordable gray sectional sofa that Mommy Barbara purchased from a local department store.
The huge glass window not only provides a relaxing view of the great outdoors but also allows more natural light into their inviting living area. There is also an accent wall covered with thin wooden strips that adds warmth, color, and texture to this part of the house.
Sliding Doors
The living and dining areas of the family home were separated by these sliding doors. The glass panels can create an illusion that of an open-space layout.
Kitchen and Dining Area
The house kitchen area is completed with overhead cabinets that have frosted glass details. Enrique’s mom decorated it with mosaic tiles in different colors to turn the simple space more interesting. Mommy Barbara said that these tiles are easy to install because they already come in tile sheets.
Meanwhile, the dining area facing the kitchen comes with a dining table from a Cebu-based furniture store, Classical Geometry.
Lanai
The covered lanai boasts of warm yellow tones and a mix of woven and wooden furniture, creating a warm and cozy ambiance. In one corner of this area, you will see a wooden console table and a three-seater woven sofa topped with throw pillows that comes in different sizes and designs. In front is a wooden chest that can be used as a coffee table.
Hallway
Leading to the bedroom is a hallway filled with a framed Papal Blessing document signed by Pope John Paul I. What makes this Apostolic Blessing extra special is that Pope John Paul I only served for 33 days before his unexpected passing.
Mommy Barbara’s Bedroom
The bedroom that was occupied by his mom has a very relaxing ambiance, her room is filled with earth colors. These neutral shades of earth and brown make the personal haven appear simple and peaceful.
Mommy Barbara is also fond of collecting religious icons from San Sulpice, a Roman Catholic church from Paris, France.
Enrique and Javy’s Bedroom
Enrique still prefers to share this room with his elder brother, Javy, whom he also considered as his best friend. Their room is filled with floor-to-ceiling upholstered panels that also serve as their matching beds’ headboard.
Entertainment Room
An entertainment area can also be found in one corner of their room, this is where the boys play their games or simply watch movies as it was completed with a flat-screen TV, a DVD player, a Microsoft Xbox, and Sony Playstation 4.
Horror Movie Posters
They also have a wall near the entertainment area that was designed with posters of Frankenstein, Dracula, and Tales from the Crypt that their late father used to collect.
Enrique’s Caps and Watches Collection
In a separate corner of their room, Enrique keeps some of his favorite caps, which, according to him, that he has already lost count of how many pieces he owns. Aside from caps, he also owns several watches that come in different colors that can also be seen inside their room.
