Look: Sunshine Cruz Addressed Rumors On Being Secretly Engaged To Boyfriend Macky Mathay

Celebrity mom-of-three Sunshine Cruz immediately denied the rumors about her secret engagement with businessman boyfriend Macky Mathay.

‘The Heiress’ actress clarified that there is no engagement or proposal yet that happened between her and her beau during the press conference of her latest movie last Thursday, November 14.

“Oh my God hindi, hindi talaga. Grabe naman. Nakalagay nga dun ‘#NewProject’ so I don’t understand why it would be an engagement. It’s not an engagement,” referring to her recent Instagram post, where the netizens’ got the idea of her so-called engagement.

Macky is the half-brother of actress turned businesswoman Ara Mina and a known grandson of former Quezon City mayor Mel Mathay. The two have been together for 3 years now, they just celebrated their third anniversary last September.

Sunshine went on to share some updates about their relationship and added that she is very happy and contented with the status of her relationship with her boyfriend.

“Ganun pa rin kami. Siguro napagod na rin kami sa mga stress namin in the past so we just want to be happy and we just want to inspire each other. Mas consistent pa nga siya. He’s very consistent. Nakakatuwa lang na I’m blessed with someone who accepts me for who I really am and who also loves my children,” she explained.

The 42-year-old celebrity mom added that she is not really rushing into marriage since it was only early this year when her annulment with Cesar Montano was granted by the court, “So wala na akong mahihiling pa for now. Kaya wala munang engagement, hindi totoo yun. Pabayaan niyo na muna ako. Finally, na-annul na ako this year lang tapos engaged agad agad? Puwede bang enjoyin muna natin ang buhay natin?”

Moreover, Sunshine shared in the same interview that she believes that marriage will happen in God’s perfect time, however, she also said that she feels that it was not yet “the right time” for it.

“Hindi naman (na-)trauma but I’ve experienced being married and having a grand wedding so that alone tapos I was blessed with three kids, okay na yun. So in God’s perfect time pag dumating at binigay sa amin, darating. Pero ngayon hindi pa right time eh. Alam ko yun at nararamdaman ko,” Sunshine added.
