Look: Patrick Garcia Shares His Life As A Family Man, ‘Mas masaya kesa sa showbiz’

38-year-old celebrity father, Patrick Garcia shares how much he’s enjoying his life right now with his non-showbiz wife Nikka Martinez, and their three young daughters.

Patrick Garcia grew up in the limelight, he began his showbiz career since the early ‘90s. He was one of the original casts of Ang TV and has starred in numerous films and TV series. But now, it appears that he enjoys more his life as a family man.

Earlier this month, the celebrity dad attended the Similac GainSchool parenting forum where he talks about his journey as a father, including some of the challenges he faced in raising three young daughters with his wife Nikka.

“When you’re not yet a father they say that it’s hard daw, magpalit ng diaper, mga ganun. Pero when it’s there kayang kaya mo lang. Of course pag pagod ka there are some challenges na pagod na pagod ka na tapos yung baby mo ayaw pa matulog. Yun lang yung mga challenges pero siyempre sanay naman tayo sa puyat kasi pag artista ka lagi kang napupuyat,” Patrick shared.

He went on to share how being a father is far greater than all of the things that he experienced in the showbiz industry, Patrick continued, “Mas masaya kesa sa showbiz kasi dito sa pagiging tatay maraming tawanan, maraming iyakan, maraming drama, maraming suspense. Wala lang horror pero isa ito sa pinakamasayang bagay na nangyari sa akin.”

Sharing his normal routine every day, “I wake up at 5 am everyday. I wake up Michelle and she gets ready for school and at 5:30 am we leave for school. Hinahatid ko na siya. Depende kung traffic that’s why we leave early para by 6:30 am or 7 am andun na kami sa school. And then if we get there early I’ll wait. Hindi ko siya iiwan dun sa school. Hihintayin ko siya siguro hanggang 7 am kasi 7:30am yung school niya eh. Minsan andun lang kami sa parking. After I drop her off I go home just in time for Patrice to go to school. Most of the time it’s my wife naman who takes her to school but there are times na sumasama ako to make hatid and from there we wait at the school kasi sandali lang yung ano niya from 9 am to 11:30am. And then from school uwi kami and eat lunch,” he explained.

The couple knows how important it is to be part of their child’s daily life and to also introduce God to them even at an early age.

“Pag wife ko naman ang naghihintay sa school, I stay behind to play with Pia. That’s the routine. Sometimes I go, sometimes I stay para si Pia may kasama. Tapos pag natutulog na kami, each of us will say a prayer. Kasi sabay sabay kami matulog isang kuwarto. As early as now, we fuse the Lord into their hearts,” he said.

When it comes to dealing with some challenging situations in their family, the hands-on dad shared, “Just enjoy. Kasi pag nag-e-enjoy ka parang hindi stressful eh. Kahit na stressful na yung situation basta ini-enjoy mo okay pa rin eh.”

Patrick and Nikka tied the knot in March 2015. The couple had their first child Michelle Celeste “Chelsea” in 2012, followed by Nicola Patrice, who was born in 2016, and their youngest daughter Francisca Pia in 2017. The former child star also has a son named Alex Jazz Mercado, from actress Jennylyn Mercado, who was born on Aug. 16, 2008.
