Ogie Diaz Revealed That Liza Soberano is From Rags to Riches

21-year-old Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano is definitely one of the brightest stars in the local entertainment industry today. She first tried her luck as a print ad model at age 12 and was later discovered by a talent scout when she was 13, she was then introduced to her current handler or manager, Ogie Diaz.
The beautiful actress rose to fame after playing the protagonist role in the romantic comedy television series Forevermore in 2014, followed by several TV series and films with her on-screen love team Enrique Gil, who also happens to be her boyfriend as well in real life.
With all the fame and success that this beautiful and talented young actress has right now, it’s somewhat hard to believe that she used to have an almost P500,000 debt when she was just starting her career.

This story was shared by one of the people who have personally known her since she joined show business, her talent manager Ogie Diaz.
Last Friday, November 1, Ogie shared a Facebook post where she recalled Liza’ Soberano’s humble beginnings.
While many people think that this young actress came from a wealthy family because of her stunning looks, Ogie revealed that it was far from the truth as her life story was almost like “from rags to riches.”
“Akala kasi nung iba, dahil sa ganda at kinis ng kutis ni Liza ay galing siya sa mayamang pamilya. Pero hindi po. Walang-wala ang bagets noon nang makilala ko,” he shared.
Liza’s talent manager went on to share that the actress and her father even incurred a huge debt from him in the past, “Halos umabot ng 500k, pero alalang-alala na ang mag-ama kung paanong mababayaran dahil nag-start pa lang ang kanyang career.”

Ogie told them not to worry too much about the money as they can just pay him when they are already able. However, this almost half a million peso debt was immediately paid by the actress when she finally received her first TV commercial,
“Talagang sabi ni Liza, ‘Tito Ogie, mababayaran na po namin lahat ang utang namin sa inyo. Ayoko po kasi nang may utang pa. Thank you po, ha?’”
But after Liza’s showbiz career blossomed and eventually became one of the biggest stars in the industry, Ogie joked that it will be a different scenario now, as he will be the one who will borrow money from his “alaga,” “Baligtad na ngayon. Ako na ang mangungutang sa yo, ‘nak.”
