Today’s most-talked-about local celebrity news is the wedding of Vhong Navarro to his long-time girlfriend Tanya Winona Bautista in Kyoto, Japan.
The couple exchanged vows at Four Seasons Hotel in Kyoto, Japan, on Thursday, November 28, surrounded by their friends and relatives who were there to witness this once in a lifetime event.
Many also noticed that this intimate wedding ceremony of Tanya and Vhong was attended by the country’s biggest names in showbiz.
Another thing that surely caught the attention of many Filipinos is when they saw the elusive actor John Lloyd Cruz attending the wedding of his former co-star and fellow “Kanto Boys” member Vhong Navarro.
On Instagram, Ryan Bang shared a video that was taken minutes before the ceremony. It shows a glimpse of the Lloydie, with a noticeably clean-cut look that far from his latest image with long hair and a full-grown beard.
However, it is not clear in the video if the A-list actor really cut his hair short or just tied it to look more presentable for his friend’s wedding.
Other celebrities who were seen in Ryan’s video clip are Billy Crawford and Jhong Hilario, they are all part of Vhong’s groomsmen.
Billy Crawford, John Lloyd Cruz, Vhong Navarro, and Luis Manzano used to be part of the male showbiz idols dubbed as “Kanto Boys.” The four Kapamilya actors became good friends when they were launched as a group of celebrity performers on ASAP in 2009.
In a previous interview with Billy Crawford in the morning talk show Magandang Buhay, he shared that although John Lloyd is on showbiz hiatus, they still communicate with each other.
“Nakakausap pa namin pero hindi namin masyadong nakikita,Siyempre busy rin yung tao. May pamilya na rin and he lives a private life as well, di ba? Pero ‘yan si Lloydie, hindi ko mari-replace sa pagiging kaibigan ‘yan,” he said.
