Look: Anthony Taberna Posted Sweet Message For His Wife For Their 14th “Metsary”

Kapamilya broadcast journalist Anthony “Tunying” Taberna or also known as Ka Tunying, is a well-known TV and radio anchor, and one of the most respected personalities in the field of journalism.

Many Filipino viewers love his bold but witty personality whenever he is expressing his opinion on the hottest issues in the country.

Recently, many were surprised when he showed his romantic side in a social media post that he dedicated to his beautiful wife, Rossel Velasco-Taberna.

Last November 11, the 44-year-old news anchor posted a sweet Facebook post on his account for the celebration of their 14th “Metsary,” which, according to him, is a term that his “Millenial” wife created that signifies their first meeting date.

He wrote: “Ang misis ko ang nag-imbento ng terminong ito – METSARY. Ikaw ba naman ang nakapag-asawa ng Millenial. Pero kahit ano pa ang tawag, talaga naman kaysarap alalahanin at balikan ang mga eksena kung paano ko unang nasilayan ang kanyang ganda.”

In this Facebook post, Anthony also included some photos with Rossel showing how the couple celebrated their special day. They first went to a 7-Eleven branch in Mendiola, their first meeting place, followed by a dinner date in what seems like a Korean restaurant.

Ka Tunying went on to share more details on how he met his wife, the exact place, date and time. He also added that when he first saw Rossel 14 years ago, he knew that it was love at first sight. That’s why even if there’s a huge age gap between them, Anthony still pursued to court her.

“Habang nakatayo sa tapat ng 7-Eleven sa Mendiola noong 11-11 o November Eleven 14 years ago. Eksaktong 4:11 ng hapon, kumabog agad ang puso ko sa babaeng makakasama ko na pala habang ako ay nabubuhay. Kahit na 11 years pa ang tanda ko sa kaniya, pinatos ko na – ganda kasi eh!” Anthony added.

He continued: “Ganda ng tanong mo kanina pagkatapos nating magdinner at magharutan sa 7-11, paano kaya kung hindi tayo nagkatagpo? Napakahirap palang sagutin dahil wala naman akong naiisip na ibang senaryo na hindi ikaw ang kasama ko. Ah basta, ang alam ko ay ibinigay sa akin ng Panginoon ang eksena sa 7-11 dahil parte yun ng proseso na ibinibigay ka na Niya sa akin,” dagdag ni Taberna.
