“Check muna kasi”: Heart Evangelista Reacts On A Netizen Who Questioned Her Shoes In the ‘Kasanggayahan Festival’

Love Marie Ongpauco or more popularly known as Heart Evangelista-Escudero recently shared several photos taken during the 2019 ‘Kasanggayahan Festival’ on her Instagram account.

The 34-year-old actress and her husband and the governor of Sorsogon, Chiz Escudero also joined the fun by performing the traditional Bicol dance ‘Pantomina Sa Tinampo’ along with 7,127 Sorsogon dancers.

This led them to bag a Guinness World Book record for the “largest Filipino folk dance” last Thursday, October 31. Kasanggayahan Festival is celebrated in Sorsogon every October of the year in a month-long commemoration of its foundation as a Province.

The following day, Heart proudly took to Instagram to share the good news to her followers and also to congratulate her husband and the Sorsoganons for their latest achievement.

She wrote: “We did it! Congratulations to us 7,127 Sorsoganons for breaking the Guinness World Record for largest Filipino folk dance!

“My dear @escuderochiz, I am so proud of you for planning and conceptualizing this whole thing for your province. It wouldn’t have been such a success without you. ❤ #SorsogonFirst #MahalKongSorsogon #Kasanggayahan2019 #PantominaSaTinampo2019.”

Many netizens reacted to her post and praised the actress for her special part in this event. However, one netizen called her out for her chosen footwear during the performance as she thought that is Heart wearing a pair of luxury sandals.

“You look funny in your gucci or channel sandals you should have worn an abaca slippers which bicol region is known for.”

Heart then replied to the netizen’s comment by saying that she was actually wearing abaca sandals and not the luxurious footwear brands that she mentioned, “Huh? I wasn’t wearing Gucci dear. I was wearing abaca sandals from @aishefootwear. Check muna kasiiiiiii.”
