“Nag-evolve na taste ko”: Kathryn Bernardo Hailed As One Of The Best Dressed Female Stars In The Philippines

Filipino fans and several fashion authorities recently hailed the 23-year-old Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernando as one of the best-dressed stars in the industry.

While it’s somehow a requirement for celebrities like her to impress the public on her best outfit choices and style, it’s not so easy to be a consistent attention-grabber in terms of fashion.

Just recently, the “Hello, Love, Goodbye” star added another milestone when she was chosen as the newest ambassador of Keds, an international footwear brand.

In their pictorial, the beautiful Kapamilya actress shared that she is now more aware of her personal style. But aside from that, she is also very hands-on when it comes to choosing her outfits.

“Nag-evolve na (taste ko). Dati hindi ko rin alam kung ano pero I think as you grow older, nag-iiba rin yung gusto mo. Mas alam mo na kung anong bagay sa iyo. Now, I’m very hands-on with my outfits so with my stylist I talk to her, I tell her what I want to wear for this event. So mag-she-share kami ng ideas para hindi yung pinasuot lang niya sa akin. Before kasi, whatever they give me isusuot ko. Hindi ako particular sa cut and sa colors,” she said.

Sharing more on what makes her outfits more interesting and beautiful as compared to before.

“Ngayon mas into the details ako and I feel like mas nag-wo-work kapag yung artist and the stylist nag-ko-collaborate para mas magkaroon din ng character. Alam ko lang kung ano yung bagay sa akin and mas nag-si-stick ako with the classic pieces,” Kathryn added.

As a matter of fact, the fuschia crystallized terno that the Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco created for her also had her personal touch.

“Like nung ABS-CBN ball, sinabi ko kay Michael (Cinco) na I wanted to wear something with indigenous prints and then nag-sketch siya with that madaming options and then nag-work kasi sinabi ko yung gusto ko and then in-execute niya yung gusto niya. So para siyang collaboration talaga. Happy ako sa nangyari sa ball and then also sa Preview so ang saya na na-appreciate ng mga tao kung paano namin pini-present yung sarili namin,” the beautiful actress explained.

The multi-awarded actress already launched her top five Keds’ kicks that will surely love by many Pinoys. But even before she was announced to be the first Filipino celebrity ambassador of Keds, she admitted that she already owns a huge number of footwears.

“Medyo madami lang (laughs). Kailangan ko kasi siya sa work eh. Especially sa aming girls. Siguro 40 pairs, ganyan. Hindi naman ako si Imelda (laughs),” Kathryn shared.

She also shared her thoughts of being one of the most admired female stars’ today and she gave a piece of advice to the younger celebrities who looked up to her on-screen and off-screen loveteam with Daniel Padilla.

“Talaga? Wow (laughs). It’s a bit na nakaka-pressure but at the same time, ang sarap sa pakiramdam na ibig sabihin may nakikita nila sa ‘yo na something so happy kami and I hope makatulong kami ni DJ (Padilla). Kasi kami din naman nung nag-start kami meron kang ina-idolize so now sana kung ano yung mga natulong sa akin ng mga seniors before, yun yung magawa namin sa mga younger ones to help them and to inspire them. Basta sinasabi ko lang sa kanila parati na dapat huwag mong kalimutan kung sino ka and don’t be pressured to be just like anyone else. You have to make your own identity and just be yourself so the people will lvoe you even more,” she explained.
