40 year-old actress Claudine Barretto first appeared in ABS-CBN for a youth-oriented variety show, Ang TV, in 1992. After that, she was chosen as a cast in comedy sitcom Home Along Da Riles that same year in which the film adaptation of the TV show became her official film debut in 1993.

She landed her first major role in the television drama series “Mula Sa Puso” in 1997, this TV show aired in the Kapamilya network for almost three years. Claudine was dubbed as “The Optimum Star” because of her well-acclaimed performances in numerous drama series in the past.

The talented actress was hailed as one of the Top 20 stars who ruled the decade (2000–2009). Aside from that, she also received many awards and recognitions during the peak of her acting career. Many people would agree that she is definitely one of the finest stars of the local entertainment industry.

Claudine’s last movie project was Star Cinema’s film “Etiquette for Mistresses” in 2015. Then shortly after that, the actress revealed that she fell ill, which is the reason why she could not continue to work on screen. Aside from her medical condition, she also underwent six operations in a span of four months.

But the good news is Claudine Barretto has officially made her comeback in the industry she’s been a part of for more than two decades.

She had a special appearance on Maalaala Mo Kaya’s Dance Floor episode in April 2019, wherein she played the role of a loving and supportive mother to a son suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome.

The Optimum star also guested on the late-night talk show Tonight with Boy Abunda to catch up with the King of Talk and share some updates about her life.

For those who were asking if she’s back for good? The actress stated that she is really happy to return to showbiz, “Ngayon masasabi ko na gusto ko na talaga.”

Fans and supporters of Claudine are all very happy and excited to know that she is currently working for a movie reunion with Piolo Pascual. The said movie that will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina has no title yet. The two first paired together in their 2004 movie titled, “Milan.”
