Kim Atienza Proudly Shares First Flight With His Eldest Son As His Pilot

52-year-old Kapamilya TV host and weather anchor, Alejandro Ilagan Atienza or also known professionally as Kim Atienza or Kuya Kim recently took to Instagram to share how proud he is after taking his first flight with pilot son, Jose Atienza.

Kuya Kim shared some photos and a short video clip of his plane ride with Jose on his account with the caption, “First flight with Jose as my pilot. Mama and I shall forever be the wind beneath your wings son! #leadingedgeaviationacademy.”

The celebrity father can be seen in the photos with a wide smile and bursting with excitement, which is exactly the look of an extremely proud father.

Jose is the eldest among Kuya Kim’s three children with his wife Felicia Hung-Atienza. The couple also has two lovely daughters. Jose had his training at the Leading Edge International Aviation Academy in San Fernando City, La Union, and he is already a certified pilot at the age of 17.

In the comment section of his IG post, one curious netizen asked Kuya Kim about his son’s age, as the said netizen’s son also wants to be a pilot like Jose.

“Hi @kuyakim_atienza how old is your son? Did he go straight to flight school after college? Just checking options for my son as he’s in senior high and wants to be a pilot too.”

To which the 52-year-old media personality replied “Jose is grade 12. he flew solo this year when he was 16 and got his license at 17.”

Last July, Kuya Kim also posted on his social media account about Jose’s accomplishment in taking his first solo flight, and at the same earning his first-ever “pilot wings.”

This post also caught the attention of many netizens, celebrities, and close friends of Kuya Kim, who flooded the comment section with their congratulatory messages for Jose and his proud parents.
