25-year-old Kapamilya actress Ritz Azul, who first rose to fame after she ended up being the 4th Final Star through TV5’s talent search program Star Factor.
After that program, she landed on several roles in the said network before she signed under the contract of ABS-CBN and Star Magic in 2016, guesting on the Kapamilya network’s hit primetime TV series “Ang Probinsyano top-billed by Coco Martin.
In 2017, one year after she officially became a Kapamilya, many were surprised when the actress admitted her real relationship status as NBSB or “No Boyfriend Since Birth”. This news was first revealed in the morning talk show Magandang Buhay by her celebrity best friend Karen Delos Reyes.
It will be recalled that Ritz landed on her very first lead role in ABS-CBN in the teleserye, Promise of Forever, wherein she starred alongside her handsome leading men Paulo Avelino and Ejay Falcon. At the time, rumors started to arise about her real gender preference, as some assumed that she is a lesbian.
To which the actress denied and clarified through an interview that the main reason why she stayed single is that she already receives overflowing love from her family and the fact that she’s not ready to be in a relationship at that time.
“Para sa akin, it’s a responsibility. Kapag pinasok mo na ‘yun, kapag nandoon ka na sa phase na iyon, doon na halos iikot ang buhay mo. Para sa akin, iisa na kayo. Hindi kasi ako familiar sa boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. Mas na-open ‘yung mind ko sa kung ano ‘yung tinuturo ng papa ko sa akin. Hayaan mo siyang manligaw kung gusto niya talaga. Tingnan natin kung genuine siya sa’yo. Kasi kapag dumating ‘yung tamang panahon, ‘yun na,” she said.
But a year later, it appears that the Kapamilya actress already found the one after she began posting sweet photos with a non-showbiz guy named Allan Guwi on her Instagram account in mid-2018. Their photos include spending time together on vacations here and abroad.
The two were also spotted posting sweet birthday greetings to each other earlier this year that surely caught the attention of many netizens.

Allan was the first to pen a special message to Ritz on her birthday in January 2019.
Ritz, on the other hand, shared her sweet greetings for Allan’s 29th birthday last March by posting, “03.03.19 This one’s for you. To someone I can lean on…happy happy birthday! May your heart’s desire be granted. Thank you for everything. Ang wish ko lang, give time for yourself. Wag magbabago. May God guide you and bless you always. Stay loving and lovable. Again, From me and my family, happy 29th birthday, Guwi! @allan_guwi ! #birthday #29teen”
Although the real score between them is not officially confirmed, she said that she is very much contented with what they have right now and she is happy that she has Allan as her special someone that she can always lean on, referring to him as her “best of best friend.”
“Well, ang masasabi ko lang I have someone I can lean on. Parang kasing sobrang best of best friend ko siya. Ang hirap kasing i-explain e, kasi naitanong ko na rin ito sa mga magulang ko. Kasi ‘yung mga magulang ko, lalo na ‘yung papa ko, ayaw nilang tawaging boyfriend kasi para sa kaniya ‘pag tinawag mong boyfriend, may next boyfriend pa. E ayaw niya ‘yung papalit palit. So hanggang doon na lang muna siguro, best of best of best friend,” the Kapamilya actress shared.
Currently, Ritz is one of the main cast of Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Los Bastardos as Dianne Liwanag-Cardinal. In her recent Magandang Buhay guesting together with her Los Bastardos co-actresses Maxine Medina and Kylie Verzosa, Ritz opened up about her thoughts about marriage.
The 25-year-old actress also mentioned in the same interview that her ideal future husband is a person who is very caring and loving just like her own parents.
