One of our most favorite on-screen and off-screen Pinoy celebrity loveteams, KathNiel or the lovely duo of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla have taken their #RelationshipGoals to a higher level as they decided to become partners again in doing business.
The two Kapamilya stars recently opened their first business venture together that they named “Barbero Blues.”
Last Saturday, October 26, KathNiel attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and welcomed their guests and fans at the grand opening of their first branch located on the 5th level of The Block, SM North EDSA, Quezon City.
It was only last month when Kathryn talked about her plans on opening a barbershop business in an interview with PEP. The 23-year-old actress shared,
“Ito ang first-ever business namin ni DJ together! Pinuntahan na namin siya kahapon. Kailangan namin kayo roon, napaka-special nito para sa amin.”
Kathryn is also a proud owner of a chain nail salon called “KathNails by KCMB,” which she first opened two years ago. However, the main customers of her nail salon are mostly women. With that, the celebrity came up with the idea of a business that can cater the needs of men.
In an interview with MJ Felipe, Daniel explained why they chose a barbershop for their business, citing the reason that there are men like him who are very particular when it comes to his haircut needs that’s why it’s very important to have a good barbershop that they can trust.
“Kasi si Kathyrn may KathNails na which kinicater mostly is women. Ako naman dahil naisip namin ni Kathryn na isa ako sa mga lalake na maselan sa pagpapagupit kailan man na kapag nagupitan ng mali naluluha ka sa barbero, alam mo ‘yon,” the actor said.
As a matter of fact, Daniel himself managed in choosing the design, name, logo of their shop, as well as hiring of their barbers.
Sharing more details about how their ‘Barbero Blues’ started, Kathryn added, “Actually si mama talaga siya yong nag lead nito. Kasi nga like what he said parang nacater na namin ang mga girls with the nail salon. Sakto na habang nagpapanails ang asawa mo nandito naman ang mga guys.”
KathNiel loveteam will be back on a big TV project very soon, these two young actors have been working separately as they wanted to grow their careers individually. Their last big-screen pairing was in the 2018 blockbuster hit “The Hows of Us.”
