Roxanne Barcelo Emotionally Recalls Closeness With Her Late Father

Kapamilya singer-actress Roxanne Barcelo could not hold back her tears when she recalled her closeness with her father, who recently passed away.

In the episode of ABS-CBN’s morning talk show “Magandang Buhay” last Tuesday, September 10, the 34-year-old actress was one of the celebrity guests of the show together with Arci Munoz and Ria Atayde.

The three beautiful celebrities gave their relationship advice and discussed topics about dealing and moving on from their heartbreaks in the past.

Roxanne was asked by the momshie host Carla Estrada on how her parents helped her through dealing with her painful breakup, to which she answered,

“Napakalaking tulong talaga na naging very close talaga ako sa mga nanay at tatay ko. Ang tatay ko most especially, he really goes through the process with me. Hindi ako nahihiyang tumawag sa tatay ko, minu-minuto tuwing kailangan ko ng advice, and he would ask me the best questions.”

Last June, Roxanne went to their home in the US after hearing about his father, Tony Barcelo, who got into an accident and eventually passed away on July 1. The Kapamilya actress’ parents visited their son (Roxanne’s younger brother, Tim Barcelo) in their home in San Francisco.

“It’s been over 60 days since nung namatay ang tatay ko pero nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa kaniya. Kasi ginawa talaga niya ang lahat para tulungan ako na ma-heal kada-heartbreak.

The actress added that all the pain in the relationship she had experienced in the past can’t be compared to the pain she is experiencing right now.

“Lahat ng heartbreak ko in my past, parang bale wala nung namatayan ako ng ama. Doon ko na talaga nasabi sa sarili ko. Wala nang mas masakit pa,” she added

Roxanne went on to share how lucky she and his brother are, for having kind parents that support them and provided them with all their needs in life.

“Sabi ko nga sa kapatid ko, ‘Hindi tayo yung anak na hindi minahal, tayo yung anak na binigay ang lahat sa atin. So ngayon, hindi ko na naiisip yung heartbreak sa jowa.
“Ang iniisip ko yung kung paano mag-heal from this. Excited na excited ako sa pagmamahal na ibibigay ko sa ‘the one’, and I have faith,” Roxanne said. .
