Celebrity couple Sunshine Garcia and Alex Castro recently threw a baptismal ceremony and an advanced birthday celebration for their son, Baby Axel, who will be turning one on Tuesday, September 10.
The 33-year-old celebrity mom posted a series of photos on her Instagram account last September 4, where she wrote: “Ang bilis talaga ng araw mag-1 yr old na siya???? sa susunod nito may ka-date ka na. charuuut! Haha! Salamat sa lahat ng nakapunta at sa mga Ninong at Ninang thank you sa inyo. Sobrang happy kami.”
It can be seen in the photos that the couple was joined by their families and friends. Present in the said event was Sunshine’s fellow former Sexbomb Dancers Cynthia Yapchiongco and Mia Pangyarihan, who were there as Axel’s godmothers.
For Baby Axel’s advanced 1st birthday celebration, the couple chose an Aladdin-themed party all done by Portia of GP The storyteller. Sunshine even exclaimed in her post that Portia’s wonderful creation for Axel’s Aladdin-themed party was “mukhang mamahalin,”
“Yung kahit gusto mo ng simpleng ayos lang sya yung tipo ng tao na hindi papayag lagi nya sinasabi na ibibigay nya yung Best nya. Thank you Mars nadagdagan ako ng kaibigan sa yo. Simula nung Gender Reveal hanggang ngayon lagi mo kami Sinusurprise ni Alex sa talent mo. Ito yung isa sa gusto ko ma feel ko na bata ang may Party pero parang ako talaga ang may party,” she wrote.
The dancer-comedienne went on to thank said events’ organizer who, like a genie, transformed a tennis court into “a whole new world.”
“Thank you Portia of @gpthestoryteller sa napaka gandang ayos ng venue ni Axel, alam nyo bang tennis court yan? Yes ganyan sila kagaling, naayos nila ng mabuti. Highly recommended ang grupo ni Portia wala silang stress na ibibigay sa yo tutulungan ka nya na mapaganda ang Party mo ng hindi ka ??. Believe me kung ano lang ang kaya mo na budget mas more pa duon ang kaya nila ibigay, mas happy sila kapag nakikita nila na happy ang client nika. We’re so lucky na meet ka namin. SWIPE LEFT para makita nyo ang ayos. mukhang mamahalin diba?? Haha! Hindi nya kami tinipid,” she added.
Meanwhile, Sunshine revealed in an earlier post that she took charge of Baby Axel’s costume for his birthday pictorial, which makes the birthday boy in his genie costume looked like he’s a character from Teletubbies, a British pre-school children’s television series.
“Genie ka dapat dito pero sabi ni papa mo mukha ka daw teletubbie. sorry na nagtipid si mama sa costume mo, yan ang tinatawag na D.I.Y (do it yourself) buti na lang nandyan si lola mommy.”
The 33-year-old Kapamilya actress and Alex welcomed Baby Axel via emergency Caesarean section at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City on September 10, 2018.
