Look: Isabelle Daza Wore Her Beauty Queen Mom’s 25-year Filipiniana Dress At The ABS-CBN Ball

31-year-old celebrity and first-time mom, Isabelle Daza, looked radiant and classy in her blue Filipiniana outfit at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019, held at the Shangri-La The Fort last Saturday, September 14.

The gorgeous actress-model flaunted a simple yet elegant blue gown made by Peppito Albert. She later shared in her social media account the origin of this beautiful gown that she wore, which was actually her mom Gloria Diaz’s 25-year-old classic Filipiniana gown.

On Instagram, Isabelle revealed in a post that the blue gown that she wore originally belongs to her mother, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, who was the first Filipina to win the prestigious Miss Universe crown.

For Miss Universe 1994, Philippines was the host country of the prestigious pageant for that year, and Gloria Diaz was tasked to do the crowning duties for the new winner Miss Universe, Miss India Sushmita Sen.

She wrote “Wore my mom’s Filipiñana which she used to crown Ms.India in 1994. I feel like sustainable is the new vintage. Made by Peppito Albert #WhoWoreItAfter #abscbnball2019.”

Many were amazed that the gown still looked stunning even after 25 years since it was originally created, it was indeed a sustainable fashion as Isabelle said in the post.

But it also appears that this is not the first time that Isabelle wore her mom’s gown or vintage ensemble. The 31-year-old celebrity mom also channeled her mother’s Miss Universe look for a previous occasion.

It can be seen in an Instagram post of the former Universe, Gloria Diaz, shared on August 3, 2017, a side-by-side photo that shows her and daughter Isabelle wearing the same gown.

ABS-CBN Ball 2019 was for the benefit of Bantay Bata 163. The foundation is focused on raising funds this year to support its Bantay Edukasyon Program that grants scholarships to underprivileged children.
