Look: Diether Ocampo’s New Life After He Left The Limelight

Can you remember the hunk matinee idol Diether Ocampo or also known by his showbiz nickname, “Diet”? He rose to stardom when he was introduced as one of the members of “The Hunks,” which became popular in the early 2000s.

He started his showbiz career when he was discovered by the ABS-CBN in the mid-1990s and was managed by Star Magic headed by Director Johnny Manahan.



The hunk actor’s first movie appearance was in the movie adaptation of teen program Ang TV. He was also known for his notable roles and appearances in programs such as Bakit Manipis Ang Ulap in 20016, along with Cesar Montano and Claudine Barretto, Apoy Sa Dagat, Guns And Roses, Sabel, Rubi, Only You, Iisa Pa Lamang, Lobo, Princess Sarah, Margarita, Rounin, Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin, Bora: Sons Of The Beach, ‘Til Death Do Us Part, Marina, Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas, Buttercup, Recuerdo De Amor, Mula Sa Puso, Sa ‘Yo Lamang, Nasaan Ka Man, Bcuz Of You, Jologs, Soltera, La Vida Rosa, Magandang Hatinggabi, Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita, and a lot more.

The 46-year-old former actor is also active in charitable works through his K.I.D.S. (Kabataan Inyong Dapat Suportahan), a foundation that he established in 2006, this helps the underprivileged children of Metro Manila. Some reports claimed that this is the reason why he chose to leave the limelight.

In 2011, the actor made headlines when he introduced his 7-year-old son named Dream to the public.

Diether was last seen on TV as part of the cast of the now-defunct 2018 ABS-CBN’s drama fantasy series “Bagani,” starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.



Now that he’s rarely seen by the public, some reports said that he also concentrated on his enthusiasm for videography and equestrian, and that he is inclined into sports such as golf, horse racing, and shooting sports.

There were also some news online that Diet is now a Lieutenant Commander of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA). He also completed the recent seafarer’s training conducted by the Philippine Center for Advanced Maritime Simulation and Training (Philcamsat).

Meanwhile, many netizens also noticed that the latest photos of the former hunk actor shared in several social media platforms show that he is still a handsome guy, slim and hunky, and seems not to age at all.
