Look: Andi Eigenmann Confidently Flaunts Her Postpartum Body, 8 Weeks After Giving Birth

Nearly two months since she gave birth to her second daughter Lilo Alipayo, 29-year-old celebrity mom Andi Eigenmann can now proudly flaunts her postpartum body.
The celebrity mom of two welcomed her first child, Baby Lilo, with surfer-boyfriend Philmar Alipayo last July 23. She also has a daughter with former partner Jake Ejercito, who was born on November 23, 2011.
Andi has been documenting her post-C-section body since Day 1, but recently, she also decided to document her fitness journey and on how to get back in shape after giving birth via Cesarean section.
In a recent Instagram story shared by the young mom, she surprised many of her followers after she confidently showed off her body a few weeks after giving birth.
Many can’t help but wonder how she managed to lose weight so fast and asked the celebrity mom some questions through her Instagram Stories.
One of her followers asked about her secret to her flat and smaller tummy after giving birth, Andi clarified that it’s not “lumiit agad” as a woman’s uterus naturally shrinks back to its normal size after a few weeks.
She also explained that “If there’s a remaining bulge, that will be the extra weight that you gained during pregnancy. Can only be lost with proper exercise and a healthy diet.”
Another question thrown to her is about her current diet and how she lose weight fast. To which the surfer mama shared that they try to have a healthy diet plan, no processed foods, no bad carbs, and they also try to cut down on meat (except for Ellie).
She added that she also has the “right amount of exercise a human being needs,”
Sharing more about her motherhood journey for Baby Lilo, Andi explained that she had to avoid lactation treats because she needs to keep a healthy diet and these much as I loved all these lactation treats, I had to stop because they foods as they are high in sugar and intake more water. She also mentioned some of the proven superfoods that can help sustain breast milk supply such as spinach, oatmeal, brown rice, fenugreek, spirulina, dates, and many more.
When asked about her choice between direct-latching or electric pump, she said that she nursed Lilo until the seventh week postpartum, but after that, she also started using a breast pump to express her breast milk every morning. “I still have her latch directly but been pumping as well every morning since then,” Andi shared.
Andi and Baby Lilo flew to their home in Siargao after three and a half weeks and settled there. But they also travel back to Manila on a regular basis for Ellie’s school, visiting her father, Jake Ejercito, and for Baby Lilo’s well-baby checkups and vaccinations.
The 29-year-old celebrity mom answered several questions from her curious fans about Ellie’s reaction to their new life now in Siargao Island. Andi said that her 8-year-old daughter took to the island life quite quickly, which was one of the things that gave Andi the confidence to start anew and build a life in Siargao.
In fact, Ellie can now understand some Bisaya words and is learning the dialect more and more each day, “She’s enthusiastic about it. Sometimes she tries to speak it but still shy.” She also revealed that she allows Ellie to play with other kids as it also helps her learn more and meet many new friends.
When it comes to Baby Lilo’s adjustment to her new surroundings, Andi shared that “Lilo loves making siesta under the coconut trees.” She also said that she enjoys taking Lilo for walks at the beach in the mornings and plans to start her in swimming lessons at 18 months. But it will still depend on Lilo herself and her father if she’s going to do surfing in the future.
The celebrity mom went on to answer a question if they have a kasambahay or yaya that helps with the household chores. She said that she enjoyed doing these on their own, most of the time with the help of her daughter.
“I am so lucky my partner is good with kids. He helped me adjust because, no, we don’t have a yaya,” she said.
Andi admitted that she was scared at first because when she had Ellie, they hired a nurse and yaya, and as well as her mom who stayed with her during that time. “But that’s exactly one of the things I love about this life I chose. I feel [I’ve] become a better person as I take full responsibility in taking care of everything that gives me life — this very planet that we walk on, mother nature, and my family,” she continued.
