PBA star James Yap is enjoying his peaceful and simple life away from the limelight with his Italian girlfriend, Michela Cazzola, and their two lovely children, Michael James, and Francesca Michelle.
James and Michela have been together for six years already. They welcomed their first child, Michael, in August 2016, and Francesca in June 2018.
On his Instagram account, the basketball player dad fondly called his son, MJ, as his “Bugoy” while Francesca is his “Bugay.”
The 37-year-old “Rain or Shine” player recently shared his life right now and on how he juggles his work as a basketball star, manages his own business and spends time with his beautiful wife and kids.
But while the famous basketball player described his life now with his growing family as “masaya, tahimik. Okay naman”, he chose not to comment about his relationship Bimby Aquino-Yap, his child from former wife, TV host and actress Kris Aquino.
In a recent interview with PUSH during the second anniversary of his bar, District 8 Manila, he revealed that when he’s not playing basketball, he just juggles his time with his two children with partner Michela Cazzola and managing his business.
“Well, kailangan magbigay din ng time sa family, kasi syempre itong business na ‘to para sa family, so naiintindihan naman nila ako kung busy dito, kasi para naman to sa kanila,” he said.
James went on to explain the importance of managing his time properly for his work, business and quality time for his family.
“Kailangan i-manage mo talaga ang time mo kasi pag nagbigay ka ng time sa business, kailangan may time ka rin sa family mo, kailangan talaga ‘yun para hindi magkagulo.”
During the interview, James was also asked if he still gets to spend some time with his other son, Bimby, since he was talking about his children.
The former PBA MVP refused to share details and replied with a short answer, “No comment.”
It will be recalled that the former couple, James Yap and Kris Aquino’s relationship faced many issues and controversies since they got married in 2005, from their secret wedding, the announcement of their separation in 2010, to court battles involving their annulment and visitation rights to Bimby.
