Recently, Robi Domingo took a trip to New York City together with his beautiful girlfriend, Maiqui Pineda. The “Pinoy Big Brother” host shared that it was his first time to visit the Big Apple.
“First time in New York, meron akong certain expectations pero na-surpass ‘yun,” he said during an interview with Cinemanews.
Maqui is also an alumna of ADMU, the same school Robi has been attending since elementary. The 29-year-old TV host previously revealed that he knew her way back when they were still in high school.
Robi also shared in his recent interview that during their NYC trip, his girlfriend was his tour guide since she is already familiar around in this place.
“Siya ‘yung tour guide ko kasi siya ‘yung tumira do’n for a couple of months so alam niya ‘yung galawan, alam niya ‘yung streets. Sobrang swerte ko kasi at least hindi ako nakadepende sa telepono or maghahanap ng direction or gagawa ng itinerary kasi siya ‘yung nag-ayos,” Robi stated.
He went on to share the different famous spots of the city that they visited, such as the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, St. Patrick Church, and they also watched Hamilton on Broadway.
The TV host added that he also met Maiqui’s relatives and friends there.
“Ang gaan ng loob ko sa kanya kasi magaan talaga [si Maiqui] kasama. It’s another step towards that bigger kind of relationship and thankful for the trust kasi kapag pinakilala ka na sa pamilya iba na ‘yun eh and marami akong learnings hindi lang tungkol sa kanya kundi pati sa sarili ko na tumatanda na rin pala tayo at masarap tumanda kapag masaya ka,” Robi said.
It will be recalled that he first admitted that he is dating again in August 2018. At the time, Robi did not give further details, but he said that the woman is not from showbiz.
But while the couple won’t divulge much information about their relationship, Robi and Maiqui still try to express their feelings in public occasionally on their respective social media accounts.
Robi’s former girlfriend for 4 years, Gretchen Ho, is also an Atenista and a former volleyball star player of the Ateneo Lady Eagle. The two announced their breakup in March 2017.
Robert Marion “Robi” Eusebio Domingo was born on September 27, 1989, to parents who are both doctors. He rose to fame as a reality show contestant by joining and ending up as the first runner-up of the reality competition series Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus in 2008.
After his PBB stint, Robi became a member of ABS-CBN’s group of film and television talents collectively known as Star Magic. Aside from that, he is also known as one of the most in-demand hosts of his generation. His skills landed him a job as a VJ at MYX, and hosting jobs for various ABS-CBN shows like ASAP, I Dare You, Biggest Loser Pinoy Doubles Edition, etc.
He is currently one of the hosts of “Pinoy Big Brother Otso,” alongside with Kim Chiu, Toni Gonzaga-Soriano, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, and Alex Gonzaga.
