Meteor Garden’s Original San Chai Star “Barbie Hsu” Wowed The Netizens With Her Latest Look

Many of us would definitely agree that “Meteor Garden” is one of the most unforgettable, iconic shows that defined a generation and introduced the Asianovela craze in the Philippines.

Who would forget the rich-boy-meets-poor-girl love story of Shan Cai (Barbie Hsu) and F4’s leader Dao Ming Si (Jerry Yan)? And also the 3 other handsome and dashing Taiwanese actors, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vaness Wu.



Their unconditional love story that was first aired in 2003, where Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai started off as enemies and eventually became lovers.

Nearly 16 years after the original cast of “Meteor Garden” first dominated our TV screens. Many of their fans were still delighted whenever they hear updates from their favorite characters and even wished to see all of them all together in a television series or movie.

Even until now, Barbie Hsu, or our favorite Meteor Garden’s leading lady, Shan Cai, continues to mesmerize us with her ageless beauty.

Recently, photos of the now 42-year-old Taiwanese actress and mother of two went viral on different social media platform as she doesn’t seem to age at all, even though it was already more than a decade ago after she did the iconic Meteor Garden series.

In the Facebook Page Kyeopta Chingu, they shared a post last July 17 showing the Barbie, who looked as young as she was back then.



As seen in the photos, Barbie is wearing a simple pink hoodie jacket with her braided hair that we often see in her iconic Shan Cai character. The brave college girl who captured the hearts of Pinoy viewers before remained as beautiful as ever, leaving the netizens wondering how she was able to maintain her youthful glow.

Barbie Hsu, most popularly known by many Filipinos for her lead role as Shan Cai was born in Taipei, Taiwan on October 6, 1976. Barbie was the second of the three sisters. She is also an animal-lover and a vegetarian.

Since 2005, Barbie has been the celebrity endorser of Tissot watches, and she signed a 3-year contract in April 2008.



The Taiwanese actress married her Chinese entrepreneur husband, Wang Xiaofei on November 16, 2010, in a civil ceremony in Beijing and held the wedding banquet on Hainan Island on 22 March 2011.

The following years, she was reported to be expecting a child with her husband, she first gave birth on April 24, 2014, to a baby girl named Wang Hsi-yueh. Then after two years, Barbie also gave birth to a son named Wang Hsi-lin on May 14, 2016.
