The wooden watches made by a young Filipino entrepreneur named Kelvin Yu has already reached wide traction. Before you can only purchase it on-line, but now, it just recently opened its first physical store.

In the Facebook page of Narra Wooden Watches, it was announced that you can already buy the watches in Ayala Malls Vertis North.

“Narra Wooden Watches are now available in our first physical store! Catch us in Retail Lab x Fifth Rack, 2F Ayala Malls Vertis North, near Watsons! #narrawatches#watchesfromnature,” as per the caption of the photo uploaded on the page.

“Narra watches” as what Kelvin calls his creations; although he cleared it out that the watches that he designed and created were not made from the Narra wood. He just chose the “Pambansang Puno” (National Tree) because he sees that it really symbolizes the good qualities of the Filipinos.

“Represents durability, quality, sophistication, and uniquely Filipino spirit,” as stated in its website.

He aims to create beautiful and fashionable watches using the unusual and not typical materials in making one.

“Our goal is to produce fashionable, stylish, high quality, wooden watches for the modern wardrobe using the best materials, to ensure our customers can stand out and look good,” Kelvin shared.

Kelvin said that he got his inspiration through a watch made out of wood that he saw when he went abroad. He went back home, taking a lot of photos, happy memories, and one particular wooden watch. He said, he didn’t only see the watch as a souvenir, but an item that tickled his mind and came up with a plan to start making one.
