Look: Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna’s Beautiful Two-Story Mansion in Laguna

Way back in January 2016, celebrity couple Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna began the construction of their two-story mansion in Laguna while also planning for their grand wedding. But not everyone knows that it was the beautiful host-actress, Pauleen Luna, who took over the construction of their home after her husband Vic Sotto gave her the full control.

Although it is not an easy task for Pauleen since she is also busy for the preparation of their upcoming wedding, yet she was able to breeze through tons of processes and the final result was really amazing.

The 30-year-old host-actress said that she really took the home builder job seriously. As a matter of fact, she also shops for the construction materials and fixtures of their home personally.

“Hindi sya biro. Ang dami mong choices. I’m sure sila [other homeowners], nilalatagan nalang ng choices. Ako, hindi. Pumupunta talaga ako do’n sa Wilcon [a warehouse store for construction materials and fixtures], at ako naghahanap no’n. Ang dami! ‘Tsaka di mo alam kung anong babagay sa ganyan. Hindi talaga sya biro, kaya nga siguro trabaho o isang profession talaga ang pagiging homebuilder,” Pauleen said.

Vic and Pauleen’s beautiful home took almost a year and a half to finish, but through the help of architects and design professionals, they were able to build dream home just the way they want it to be. Pauleen was also glad that they didn’t rush the construction of their house,

“Magiging pangit naman kung sobra mong madaliin,” she quipped.

At the same time, she was able to grant her husband’s request to have “a clean and maaliwalas home—with plants and paintings adding life to each area.”

Their two-story mansion doesn’t have a specific style and highlights a mix of modern, Asian, and tropical elements.

Here’s a look inside the celebrity couple’s elegant home in Laguna:

The Facade

Vic and Pauleen’s beautiful home found inside an exclusive village really stands out and will surely catch the attention of passersby. It has no gate and the tall plants will further highlight the beauty of its structure.

Lights were also added to highlight the details of its structure and interiors that make their home, equally stunning at night.

House Foyer

The house has a high ceiling that provides an airy feel upon entering the house. The owners and their guests can surely appreciate the clean aesthetic that Bossing Vic wanted, through the natural light streaming in from the windows.

“Kung mapapansin mo, wala masyadong burloloy. Ayoko ng magulo. E, kasi, ‘yong huling bahay ko, ang gulo e. Ang dami kong gamit, kasi may pagka-hoarder ako e,” Vic Sotto shared.

Found in the foyer is a wall that features several artworks, this wall also serves as a tribute to National Artist for Visual Arts, Arturo Luz. Vic owns around 30 paintings by the artist, some of which are rare pieces.

Living Area

To achieve a more homey ambiance, their architects advised them to go for for a contemporary theme or a mix of influences instead of a solid modern theme.

Vic and Pauleen’s living area is meant for relaxing and watching TV. There’s a comfy, chocolate-colored leather couch, which is as good as a huge bed while hanging on the wall is a painting by Atanacio Pefaranda Austria.

Since Pauleen doesn’t want a dark and gloomy home, they placed a stainless-steel SuperArchimoon floor lamp in a corner of the living room, paired with furniture designer Vito Selma’s Geo coffee table. You can also find an entertainment console (Urban Italia purchase) that holds the TV that has shelves where the couple’s awards are kept.

Dining Area

This area of the house is accessible from the different parts of the home through the three sets of glass sliding doors. This place was also designed to have minimal decor just like the other parts of the house. The modern lighting piece from Keystone was the highlight of this area.

The dining table is a customized narra piece made by a local furniture maker, while the black, elegant dining chairs were bought from Crate & Barrel.

Kitchen

The celebrity couple’s spacious and well-equipped kitchen contains tons of drawers, a kitchen island, and a cabinet for essentials to keep this place spotless. There are also glass sliding doors that lead to the foyer and lanai.

Topnotch appliances complete this modern kitchen, they also placed a six-seater dining table and TV where breakfast and other laidback meals can be enjoyed.

Drawers and cabinets have a deep mahogany finish that complements the rest of the cooking area’s color palette. The family has a house cook who is in charge of preparing meals, but when Pauleen has the time she also cooks in this elegant kitchen.

Common Bathroom

Located on the first floor is a spacious bathroom that features a tufted bench, an abstract diptych by Paulina Sotto, and scented candles that add a calming vibe to the private space.

Staircase

From this angle, one can see the glorious effect of the huge windows in the foyer. The huge windows fill the second-floor corridor with natural light and illuminate the first floor. The actress-host shared that she’s a fan of natural light,

“Actually, parang hindi naman namin sinadya. Basta gusto lang namin na ma-windows. Gusto ko talaga, natural light pumapasok sa loob. Kayawe made sure na ano talaga, puro windows.” she explains.

Second Floor

Found on the 2nd level of the house is the master bedroom on the left and three extra rooms on the right side. There is also an altar with religious icons placed at the end, with the glass sliding doors leading to the veranda.

2 Guest Rooms

Vic and Pauleen made these extra bedrooms for their future children. But for the meantime, friends and guests are welcome to stay here. The rooms have their own inviting bed, a side table, bathroom, and the soothing view of the outdoors through glass windows.

The second room, on the other hand, follows the look of the first one as it’s furnished with a bed highlighting a wingback headboard, the dominance of neutrals, and mirrored closet.

Guest Bathroom

The guest bathroom will remind you of the hotel suites. It is really spacious with a generous counter and a shower area.

Lanai

Pauleen shared that the layout of their lanai was based on the layout of Pauleen’s family home in Quezon City. In this area, the family can enjoy barbecue parties outdoors. Meanwhile, the glass-top wicker dining table and the 10 chairs—are from Restoration.

It also has a six-piece outdoor sectional sofa from Pottery Barn and a captivating wooden coffee table designed by Filipino furniture designer Chino Yulo, which is perfect for a family get-together.

Veranda

The couple’s veranda has a perfect view of a golf course in the subdivision and their swimming pool below. In this area, one can enjoy breakfast while having natural sunlight and fresh air outside.

Here in Vic and Pauleen’s house, it’s always summertime as baby Tali Sotto and Mommy Pauleen enjoy lots of swimming time together. The length of this pool does not exceed 10 meters and it is of varying depth.
