Look: Diether Ocampo Is Now A Lieutenant Commander Of The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary

‘90s hunk matinee idol Diether Ocampo is now ready to provide service to the public after joining the ranks of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) as a Lieutenant Commander.

Diether, who is also popularly known by his showbiz nickname, “Diet” was among the famous personalities who also became members of the PCGA.



Joining him in this volunteer organization of the Philippine Coast Guard were Lieutenant Commanders Matteo Guidicelli, Erwan Heussaff, Nico Bolzico, and Lieutenant Gerald Anderson.

Recently, a fan page dedicated to the former actor shared the news, which was also shown in a report by starcinema.abs-cbn.com. The said page included photos taken from his indoctrination ceremonies which were held earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the official Facebook page of PCGA previously shared a post where Diether can be seen taking part in the organization’s activities including seminars, outreach activities, boodle fights, conventions, and other training exercises.

The 46-year-old former hunk actor, who has always been a maritime advocate recently finished another accomplishment by undergoing and completing the seafarer’s training conducted by the Philippine Center for Advanced Maritime Simulation and Training (Philcamsat) last June.



As an actor, he was known for his notable roles and appearances in programs such as Bakit Manipis Ang Ulap, Apoy Sa Dagat, Guns And Roses, Sabel, Rubi, Only You, Iisa Pa Lamang, Lobo, ‘Til Death Do Us Part, Marina, Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas, Princess Sarah, Margarita, Rounin, Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin, Bora: Sons Of The Beach, Buttercup, Recuerdo De Amor, Mula Sa Puso, Sa ‘Yo Lamang, Bcuz Of You, Jologs, Soltera, La Vida Rosa, Nasaan Ka Man, Magandang Hatinggabi, Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita, and many more.

Prior to pursuing his new chosen career path, he was last seen on TV as part of the cast of the now-defunct ABS-CBN’s drama fantasy series “Bagani,” starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.

Diether was also known as one of the members of the ASAP Kapamilya all-male group known as The Hunks, which was composed of then-budding actors Piolo Pascual, Jericho Rosales, Carlos Agassi, and Bernard Palanca.
