Young Actor Jerome Ponce Donates P300K for a Grab Driver’s Hospital Bills

Some of the most notable characters that Filipinos are known for, is their kindness and being helpful to others, especially to those who are in need. Because for these people, it’s really a great feeling that they had been able to extend help to others and share the blessings they received.



One of them is this Kapamilya actor, Jerome Ponce, who recently received praise online after a viral post about this Grab driver who told a story about the actor’s good deed for him.

The post was shared by a female passenger who couldn’t help but share the heartwarming conversation they had with a Grab driver. She was able to hear the story of this Grab driver while she was riding on his car together with her companions.

In a recent Twitter post by user @angelbanqs, the netizen shared how the Grab driver recalled when Jerome Ponce, who, according to him, is his previous employee, gave him P300,000 to pay for his hospital bills. The Grab driver added that Jerome is very kind and he didn’t think twice and help him.

He also mentioned that it wasn’t only Jerome, who helped him as there were also other celebrity friends of the actor such as Janella Salvador, Loisa Andalio, and Joshua Garcia who extended help as well.



The post instantly caught the attention of the netizens who expressed their admiration to these young celebrities in the comment section of the post. Of course, their respective fans were really proud of these good deeds by their idols.

Many also commended Jerome and his friends for having such good hearts to other people in need, and the fact that they don’t even announce this as they don’t really want to gain the attention of the public.

Jerome Ponce’s real name is Joseph Jerome Gapido Porciuncula. He is an SK Chairman of Barangay 628 in Sta. Mesa, Manila. He rose to prominence in 2012 when he starred in the hit TV series, “Be Careful With My Heart” alongside Janella Salvador, where he played the role of Luke Andrew Lim, after this, he was able to star in different movies and shows. Jerome also portrayed as Lorenzo ‘Enzo’ Buenavidez in “The Good Son”.



The 24-year-old actor only finished high school in Malayan High School of Science in Pandacan, Manila, because he chose to postpone his studies for his career. Jerome’s late father, Jesus Porciuncula Jr. was related to the veteran character actor Lauro Delgado of Premiere Productions (Loreto Porciuncula in real life).
