Kapamilya resident weather anchor and TV host Kim Atienza recently took to social media to share his eldest son’s accomplishment.
Kim Atienza or also known as Kuya Kim is married to Felicia Hung – Atienza, and they have three children: Jose III, Eliana, and Emman.
His eldest son, Jose is a pilot trainee at a Leading Edge International Aviation Academy, Inc. in San Fernando, La Union.
On July 15, the 52-year-old proud father shared a post on Instagram that his son Jose had accomplished his first solo flight and earned his first-ever “pilot wings.”
“Congratulations on your wings my PILOT Jose! Mama and I are so proud of you! You are truly a blessing,” he wrote.
He went on to remind his eldest son to always praise Jesus for his success. ” Always remember THE pilot, the source of all, as you fly His great skies! I love you dear dear son! Praise Jesus for you!” Kuya Kim added.
In another Instagram post, Kuya Kim uploaded a then-and-now photo showing Jose holding a toy plane in his younger years and a recent photo in a pilot uniform beside his father.
“I’m still stoked. My little boy is now a pilot. Sorry for the humblebrag my friends but papa just can’t help it. Love you Jose!”
Kuya Kim’s Instagram posts were flooded with congratulatory messages from his followers and close friends, including celebrities Isabelle Daza, Tim Yap, and news anchor Karen Davila.
Isabelle Daza commented that she felt proud too, to which Kuya Kim replied, “I cried.”
Tim Yap wrote, “Aw. Congratulations Jose! Everyone is so proud of you!”
Karen Davila said, “You have every reason. Congrats Jose! Truly amazing!”
The proud mom Felicia Atienza, on the other hand, shared a video of Jose’s smooth landing during his first solo flight on her account.
“Solo flight! 8249 (824-niner) has landed. Love you, son. Thank you friends for all your prayers,” she captioned in the video.
Kuya Kim Atienza, whose real name is Alejandro Ilagan Atienza is the eldest son of former Mayor of the City of Manila and Buhay Party-List Representative Lito Atienza.
