Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco-Escudero better known as Heart Evangelista has been flying in and out of Sorsogon, most especially now that her husband Francis “Chiz” Escudero has been elected as the town’s governor.
The former senator won the gubernatorial race in Sorsogon in the recently held mid-term elections.
The 34-year-old actress seems to love the province quiet and rustic charm:
“I really enjoy Sorsogon. Pag nandoon ako, nare-relax ako.”
In a recent interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) with Heart Evangelista, who attended the opening of Kamiseta pop-up store in Uptown Mall, BGC, Taguig City.
The beautiful politician’s wife shared some updates about her life when she visits Sorsogon.
“Masaya naman. Hectic but it’s very fulfilling.”
When asked about her new role and projects as the first lady of Sorsogon and helping her husband Chiz.
Heart mentioned that her plans on building shelters for the animals in the town are still in the process. Though they already have some prospects for the location, they still need to decide which is the best location for the shelters.
She explained:
“I’m trying to make sure everything is right. Medyo matagal siya but I’d rather take time and make it right. Hindi lang kasi siya government. It will also be like a personal project of mine.”
But aside from the animal shelters, they also have projects for the hospitals and as well as the education of special children.
Heart admitted that she’s currently spending more time in Sorsogon than in Manila.
“Mamaya, uuwi ako sa Sorsogon. But I enjoy, kasi I live such a fast-paced life and dati kasi, may farm kami sa Cavite with my dad. Nangangabayo kami, ganyan. Gusto ko rin yung buhay na ‘yon. So, I really enjoy Sorsogon. Pag nandoon ako, nare-relax ako,” she said.
She also shared some of her favorite tourist destinations in Sorsogon, “I like Bulusan Lake. Meron din kaming pink beach. Marami kaming magagandang beach doon. Meron din kami kung saan nandoon yung mga butanding. Marami! Pagkain, lahat!
“So, really… putting everything together, and… lahat ng mga barkada ko, sabi ko, doon na sila magbakasyon. Kasi, there are so many undiscovered areas!” the beautiful actress added.
The Kapuso actress also clarified the news about her health that she always experience anxiety attack recently.
“Just for the flying, oo! Kasi, talagang takot ako sa flying. But OK naman. Kaya naman.”
Heart was finished shooting the first part of her international film, shot in China and America.
“We’re done with the first part, and then we’ll come back for the second, for the Book 2. So, medyo hectic siya,” she shared.
With all of these new responsibilities and projects she has lined up, it’s really amazing how she is able to juggle everything and still pull it off with fashion.
