Comedian-actor and host Bayani Agbayani is undeniably one of the finest and funniest comedians in the local entertainment industry. When he was just starting his acting career, the comedian-actor also became a bankable sidekick to the brightest stars in the country. With that, many people also wondered who is Bayani Agbayani as a family man in real life.
The 50-year-old comedian has been married to wife Lenlen for more than two decades already, and they were blessed with four lovely daughters- Maria Thalia, Rosalinda Marie, Mary Mar, and Marian Sabrina. All of their names were taken from one of the most influential 90s Mexican singer-actress Thalia and the famous characters she portrayed.
In a recent press conference for his comeback romcom movie with Gelli de Belen “Pansamantagal”, Bayani shared some updates about his family.
According to him, his eldest, Maria Thalia, who is now 20 is a head chef in Slice Café, a café in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), which is owned by Senator Pia Cayetano. His second child Rosalinda Marie, 18, is planning to join the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, and she also wants to be a stewardess.
Meanwhile, the couple’s third daughter is a taekwondo black belter and she’s planning to become an architect; their youngest daughter Marian Sabrina, who is only 11, still can’t decide on what she wants to do in the future.
The supportive father also mentioned that if he’s the one who is going to decide for his four daughters what he really wants for them to take a course wherein they could easily look for a job abroad.
Bayani explained.
Bayani went on to share that he even asked her eldest daughter Thalia, to stop doing online business as he feared that something bad might happen to her.
“Nagtitinda pa ng cell phone online. Akala naman niya matutuwa ako. Sabi ko, ‘Anak, wag.’ Kasi baka ma-ano pa kung…di ba?…magkikita sa isang lugar [meet up], baka kung ano pa mangyari,” he continued.
The doting father of four said that they already accepted that they can no longer have a son because his wife already had four delivery through Cesarean section.
“Kasi mula panganay hanggang bunso, caesarian siya [Len], e. Tinanong ko ’yong doktor kung p’wede pa ba, e, hindi na raw,” he said.
“P’wede raw pero dito na bibiyakin (while pointing to his face), e, baka naman maging daing ’yon. Matagal palang maghilom ’yon sa loob. Tanggap na namin. Masaya naman kami,” Bayani added
Bayani also shared that his wife, Lenlen finished nursing while raising their four children. This becomes their contingency plan during the times that his showbiz career and projects have become infrequent. But now that his career hits again, they have decided to set aside her plan to work abroad.
Ito-tornique niya…alam niya. Kasi ang hirap kung maghihiwalay pa kami.”
The comedian father also revealed during the said press conference that his eldest daughter is in a relationship with Bea Alonzo’s brother James Carlos. The two used to be schoolmates at the CCA or Center for Culinary Arts.
“Dinala [niya] sa bahay,” he shared.
He also added that James Carlos is also a chef like Thalia and that the two are planning to build their own restaurant in the future.
Bayani went on to share one scenario where he and his wife Lenlen got worried,
