Teaching is a profession of those who give instruction or lectures to students in elementary, secondary school or in a university. The major role of a teacher in the classroom is to teach all their students valuable information and hone their knowledge and thinking skills.
That is also the reason why many people consider this job difficult but rewarding since they also get to decide how their classroom is going to run and on how to make learning more fun and exciting.
With that being said, this Pinay teacher from General Santos City has shown her own way of ensuring that students from her class will start their year filled with love and care.
A video shared on Facebook by Teacher Delane Fernz Celeste on June 7 is currently making rounds online.
“Develop a passion in learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow,” she captioned the video.
As seen in the video, Teacher Celeste posted four icons on the wall beside the door of her classroom so that her students can choose how they’d like to be greeted before entering the room.
The icons displayed is a hug, high-five, handshake, and fist bump greetings.
Teacher Celeste is currently teaching Grade 5 students at Arangkada Bawinges Bawing Elementary School, General Santos City, and this is one of her new fun and unique ideas to motivate her students to study hard and attend school every day.
By greeting them early in the morning with more than just the traditional “Good morning students,” which can also help teachers and students become closer to each other.
We can only hope that there will be more teachers like Teacher Celeste, who will exert extra effort just to make their students happy and learn at the same time.
As of this writing, the video has already received over 1,000 reactions, 1,140 shares and hundreds of comments from the netizens.
