Because of the increasing demand of this product, many milk tea shops have opened within the metro and there are even some milk tea shops that became received negative feedback because of their very long lines that will make you wait for at least half an hour just to buy this drink.

But although there’s nothing wrong if you really like milk tea, you should also keep in mind that too much of something will be a bad thing.

Just like this lady netizen who learned that everything should be consumed in moderation because too much of anything might have negative effects.

Recently, a Facebook user named Jeff Nortez Serrano shared a post about what happened to her after consuming too much milk tea.

Serrano narrated her story:

On Sunday afternoon, she drank her favorite milk tea drink and at the same time, she ate some spicy food. She also admitted that there can’t be a day wherein she can’t eat anything without adding chili oil or chili sauce to make her food spicy.

That night, Serrano already felt sick, but she just ignored it, thinking that she might just be tired because of work. On Monday morning, she already has a fever but once again, she didn’t pay too much attention to it and just decided to drink some medicines and take some rest when she got home.

But her condition became worse, she started experiencing stomach pain and difficulty in breathing. At first, she thought it was just heartburn, but the pain continued and became unbearable for her. That’s the only time she was taken to the hospital.

At the hospital, the doctors told her that excessive consumption of both milk tea and spicy food is what caused the sickness that she felt. Because her body was unable to take oral medicine, they had given her several injections to ease the pain.

Thankfully, she was discharged from the hospital the following day but was warned not to eat certain kinds of food and drink.

Although she was hospitalized, Serrano was still thankful that her condition was treated early before she suffered further damage to her stomach.
