Father Apologizes To His Son Because He Can’t Even Treat Him To Jollibee On His Graduation

After graduation, we often see many students together with their family and friends who were usually having a dinner-party celebration.

Ryan Russel Reyes recently graduated from Senior High School under the humanities and Social Science track from the Philippine Christian University in Malate, Manila last June 4. But unlike many graduates, Ryan doesn’t have any celebration after his graduation and his loving father felt sad about it.

In a recent Facebook post, the young student wrote a touching message for his father who apologized to him because he wasn’t able to treat his graduating son, even at a fast food restaurant like Jollibee.

Ryan wrote:

“LUMAPIT SAKIN SI PAPA AT BUMULONG:

The young student knew all the struggles his driver father had to experience just to send him to school. He also understood everything and knew that his father’s sacrifices are for his fortune. That’s why he really doesn’t mind having a grand graduation party like other graduates.

Ryan graduated from Senior High School with honor. He had also been the PCU-SHS SSG President SY 2018-2019, a news writer at The Scroll Publication, and a participant or delegate in several school-related events.

He went on to express his gratitude to his father who did everything just to support his family, his children’s studies, and for accepting that he has a gay son — something that many gays have to struggle with. He also added that this day is dedicated not for graduates like him, but for parents like his father.

Despite not having a party for his graduation day and his father could not even afford to treat him at Jollibee, Ryan still felt that he was very lucky to have a father like him.

WALA KANG KATULAD!!”

In the last part of his post, Ryan promised that he would do his best so that someday he would be able to return the favor to his father and for all the sacrifices he made.
