Since it’s graduation season, it is common to hear stories about students receiving special treat or gift from their family to celebrate this important milestone. While many kids today asked for gadgets or other expensive stuff as their graduation gift.
This grade 6 student from Ilocos Norte is currently making rounds on social media after he requested for a pet goat instead of gadgets or toys as a gift for his graduation day!
11-year-old Alwytz Robiniol Gaoiran, graduated last Wednesday with no medal but he got the biggest surprise when his brother granted his wish and finally got his own goat.
On Facebook, the student’s elder brother Alvin Gaoiran Robiniol proudly shared how he was surprised when his younger brother asked for a goat, so he happily granted his wish and got him a mother goat that is soon to give birth so he would have more animals to care of.
“Tinanong kita kung anong gusto mong regalo. Akala ko cellphone, tablet, o kahit ano mang klase ng luho ang isasagot mo. Natuwa ako nang sinabi mong gusto mo ng kambing para may alagaan ka.
So heto na yun. Tinotoo ko yung promise ko. Alagaan mo yan, paramihin mo. Buntis yan. Simula pa lang yan ng pagpaparami natin ng mga alaga. Baka sana ang ibibigay ko, kaso di pa kaya ng budget. Who knows, after ilang taon, may sarili na tayong farm, db? Basta magsipag ka lang, kakayanin natin ‘to.
“Congratulations ulit, Alwytz. Yes, I practice favoritism, at alam mong ikaw ang paborito kong kapatid. Love you, our future engineer. How I wish nandiyan ako ngayon. #ProudKuya,” he wrote.
As seen in his photo, the young boy showed off his new goat with a big smile on his face, which proves that for Alwytz, it was the “best gift ever.”
Based on a report by The Summit Express, Alwytz is the sixth out of the eight children of Ronnie, a farmer from Buyon village, Bacarra, Ilocos Norte and his mother Brigida, who is currently working as a domestic helper in Kuwait.
Although the young boy loved taking care of animals, his parents could not afford to have farm animals because their income is just enough to make ends meet for their big family.
Last Christmas, Alwytz had begged to his OFW mother to buy him a goat so he can take care of it while studying, but their money wasn’t enough to get him one. So it was his loving brother Alvin, who is currently working in Manila, granted his long-time wish.
